is a help for any prize tournaments listed. Having those turnaments also listed in capital letters or bold print would also set them off without changing the tournament listings as they now are. The reason I say this is because as soon as I check out a tournament, the blue turns to pink or red, depending on how some people see their screen for the next 24 hours......I think bold Capital print needs to be added to offset this minor flaw.
I have sent the payment to Fencer for the winners yesterday (April 1st), but i will wait for it to go through to Fencer before i announce the winners... All i'll say is there was four one-year-rook memberships awarded out of eight entries (or i guess you could say 5 counting me - i won my competition with 763,706,971,412 words of length 56 - lol)
There is no site out there that can even come close to BK in it's overall offerings. There are so many positive things here it's hard to know where to start. I think one reason BK is so good is that there was a lot of user imput. Two heads are better than one. And Fencer put those ideas into reality.
A mind that works wonders has to take a day off at times....not that the mind stops working ~ sometimes you have to get in touch as to what you have visioned, what you have created and where you want to fly....may I suggest Merlot??!!??

BBW: your second answer fits better as any player with correct bkr etc... is welcome. Just strange that the continue button is in the area that says no requirements, and, as I said, there is no way to tell if the requirements that were designated were retained.
In short, I take your answer to mean the requirements are retained even though I continue from the non-specific area.
Maybe I missunderstood what you asked. Eventhing in "Box 1" which includes the BKR & Membership level is "controlled" by the continue button in middle of that box. That would be where it will be put in the waiting room, not choosing your opponenet.
If you hit "Search" in the second box to search for an opponenet, it will bring up the next box.
For example, i put in "Rogue" and then it brings me to the next page where I can choose all the details of the game (Plus choose between 3 different people (rogue, rogue01, or Rogue Lion).
It doesn't create the game yet so feel free to try it out to see if it will give you want you want.
Do you mean where you type in a name? You type in a name, then press search. Always click on the box in the area you've chosen to use.
(Open game for any player to accept, type in a name or choose a name from your friends list)
Mad Monkey and Stevie would like to thank everyone for the show of support. The tournament I started in there names will continue, but with a twist. They have decided to donate a 6 month Rook membership to the winner of the tournament!!! I will donate a 6 month knight membership to the runner up!!! Thanks again everyone. Sign up's will continue until Wens, April 7th, 2004 8pm EST, 1am GMT. Good Luck to all!!!
Thank you Fencer. That one finger hitting the "unban" button has changed the whole atmosphere of this site in just a matter of minutes. Players are so willing to forgive, forget and get on with the fun of game playing and healthy discussions. YOU have put a smile back on many faces. This is a wonderful site. May this site now forge ahead and become the best game site ever!!!!
I would like to appologise for any problems caused to members of the 'Angels' Fellowship & harley for what was written in the 'Original' Cave fellowship.
There was no intention of harm meant.
You will notice I am now Stevie, this is a new start and a new name, lets try to go forward and take the site along with us :o) Or would it be the site forward and take us with it??
I would like to appologise for any distress caused to members of the 'Angels' Fellowship & harley for what was written in the 'OLD' Cave fellowship.
In no way was it said in the manner in which it has been perceived.
Fencer, you also said in defense of your game playing, that this is a game site.Well,I work in the fishing industry, and if my customers saw me fishing, rather than fixing their boats....well they'd be just a little upset.
Fencer, you said I ignored your warnings....are you referring to the times you steped in to stop the conversations about harley?
Did you consider giving me time to log on and say something in defence of your decision?
Yep... whether intentionally or not, i get the same.
When working in a warehouse I was allowed to swear my arse off, not even the women took offense, they joined in could be bluer then the men!!
.. we all laughed!! :)
Fencer has repeatedly said,he relies on harley for cultural interpretation. This is why I maintain the decesion to bann 3 members and close my fellowship was based on tainted advice.
Yes, i hear what you're saying.. and i think that even tho the ppl in question meant no harm by what they posted in your fellowship, it was interpreted differently by Fencer. I find that understandable, but feel that he also needs to realize the way that our various cultures react to different issues.
I can state another example.. in Thailand, they really frown upon public displays of affection. I was talking to my husband about it as we were driving with his sister and brother-in-law, and they about had an accident when my husband reached over and publically showed his affection for me. He and i can laugh off the differences in culture.. and perhaps that needs to be done with the comments made in your fellowship. I'm well aware that something one culture might find humorous, isn't felt the same by all of the rest.
Know that i've also been on the other end of sexual harassment.. i'm not saying that's what occured in your fellowship, as i don't know what exactly was posted.. but those of us who have dealt with it, tend to put up our defenses rather quickly.
Erika,I personally dont think theres a racist bone in Fencers body...but I'm sure you can now see how things that are said, can quickly be taken out of context.Fencer has been subjected to bad...no..vindictive advice, and hey...we all make mistakes.
Thanks Pedro.. and Fencer, i apologize if it seemed i over-reacted to your statement. I get a bit defensive when cultural issues come into the picture, simply because of the situation that i have here at home. It irritates me when ppl are singled out and categorized by their nationality, rather than the person that they are. And sometimes that comes across too strongly on my part, i'm simply used to defending my kids.. and the estrogen flows strongly. ;)
