Purple: thanks- yes, that would be cheating. Proving that would be kind of difficult tho.
I personally don't think comments made in a game should affect the outcome of who wins the prize. It should be based on the skill of the player, no matter what they have to say. I just ignore them too, and for me, amyways, when I beat someone who's trying to give me a hard time, well the victory is all that much sweeter : )
But it's easy for me to play without letting what someone says to me affect how I play.
THE HIT MAN: right, now we understand what you mean by "Bad Conduct".
My opinion - I would just ignore them. They have as much right to play in the tournament as anyone else. However, if the comments are much more are rude, threatening and very personal etc, then I suppose it should be brought to the attention of Fencer privately either directly or through the GM's.
Bry: OK comments made in game playing its self. Are offending to some, which can throw them off and possible for that game and there remaining games that they are playing until they get over the comment which was used on them. Its works well and does affect ppl as we all Know
Jules: None that I know of really. I just wasn't sure what he meant about "bad conduct"
If it's acceptable to win using programs and that isn't ruled out in the tournament to begin with, then I would think that any wins would be acceptable.
I just meant if there was some way to prove someone actually cheated in some other way, that would disqualify them from a prize. Otherwise, then if they win the games, the prize should be given.
I guess what I'm trying to say is a prize shouldn't be determined by a person's words or any personality conflicts. That if they win, they should get the prize.
baddessi: By Cheater do you mean someone who uses a program or device in order to decide their moves? If so, there are a number who have admitted to using programs in regular games, yet their ratings will already be high. The only way of detecting I know of if someone suddenly changes form in a significant fashion if they have an existing rating.
THE HIT MAN: I think that if a prize is offered for a tournament, then the winner of the games of that tournament should win the prize.
But, I agree with Bry, it depends on what you mean by "bad conduct"
If it can be proved the person cheated to win, then they shouldn't win the prize. If you mean that they used words in a game that someone personally doesn't like, then that should have no bearing on whether they win the prize or not. The win should be based on the games won. Just my opinion.
THE HIT MAN: No, bad or poor conduct are the same thing. What I am saying, is that you are asking for feelings on "Bad Conduct" in tournaments. What is happening that you are suggesting is "Bad Conduct"?
What are your feelings on BAD CONDUCT While playing in said TOURNAMENTS where PRIZES are offered or on TOURMAMENT BOARD.Should a PLAYER be removed from winning that prize offered. Not the tournament just the PRIZE
Yes, if the round is only 1 section, the tie is not broken. If an advanced round is created with just 2 people, it is a 3 win match. And if an advanced round is created with 3 or more people, it is a regular round.
THE HIT MAN: not 100% sure, but i think if only 2 players make it to the final round, it is a 3 wins match. if more than 2 players make it to the final round, more than one player can win, and if there is a draw, they both win and those two do not then go into a 3 match game.
I recall this being discussed on BK.Com I think if you check through the thread.
If i'm wrong, please can someone else confirm. Cheers.
Also i have noticed tournaments wins Sometimes there are more than 1 winner in a game,Others there is another play off section.Who controls these happnings
THE HIT MAN: do you mean when someone wins a tournament you have created? if so, an automatic message is created and sent to the winner and the creator of the tournament, which are sent from "Fencers" outbox.
rod03801: HA HA lol I'am a little crazy But not MAD As far as my attitude its very positive Thank You. I understand you very well. But why are you not understanding me..he he lol
LOL.. I'm not understanding your attitude, at all. I am a member of Brainking's customer service team. You mentioned "Major problems with BK", I asked what problem you have.
I'm not sure what you aren't understanding, and getting mad about.
Um, you posted on a public board. One where anyone can respond. I am not experiencing any "major problems with BK", I am also a member of customer service, so it certainly isn't out of line for me to ask what you are talking about.
I didnt know that you can remove people after a tournament has started. Seems as a very strange behaviour to me.
Wondering if Pedro ever will get an answer about who is prolonging?
EdTrice: Thanks, Ed. Feel free to correct any of my mistakes by PM. Of course, except obvious typos But beware, don't even try to write in my native language So far it's enough for me when I am able to write quite fast and most people don't have problems with understanding me. BTW, why "an" FYI? "F" doesnt look like a vowel for me, so I would expect "a". To be honest I didn't know abbreviations use articles ("a, an, the") Though sure OT again, may be there is some language purists board also
Discussing, questioning, and personal opinions on topics related to tournaments, I have no problems with. When the posts contain name calling and are personally attacking individuals it becomes off topic and they don't belong on the public boards, at least in my opinion.
Yes, thanks for the compliment, too. Nice to be in group of gods But now you missed you offended all those who were allowed to stay there further. What about sending them some rude PM, too; "Welcome to the club of average people. I consider you stupid enough, so you are free to play in my tournament" (don't forget the CAPS key)
THE HIT MAN: BTW, I would like to let you know that it's your turn in 226 games, while I'm up to move in 171 games...plus, why don't you move in the games the two of us are playing together?....now who's prolonging what?
We all have problems of some kind.I have installed 4 new windows in my computer to keep all my games active. You have been a memeber here for a year and half.By what is said on your profile and your record. You seem to like winning more then losing.
I have no idea whatsoever why are you saying this.
I will not stand by and let ppl like this drag on games and prolong games for everone else in any of my Tournaments
People like this? Wake up, man!!! With this attitude, you're not going to gather many people for your other tourney...how many of us did you actually remove? I guess it must be some number, cuz if you removed me...
My tournaments are held to have fun and enjoy for the average Player
So I take it I'm not average enough...thanks, what a compliment...
THE HIT MAN: well, you offended me, I don't take you away the right to remove anyone who you want to. But it's strongly unpolite to send someone a rude PM and then putting him into ignore list without letting him answer... And if the cause is I try to win then why did you try to camouflage that by that PM you sent me?
Hmm and Pedro plays pretty fast I think, may be HIT MAN just doesn't want people who try to think and fight for win in those games and he wants only people acting like random moves generators where he would have some chance to beat them May be he should think about making prize tournaments in games like Mahajarah chess, where even a monkey could win after some training, of course with one color only
