Well I got on a different computer, and now the dragon showed up on my own .css file that I'm using - and after it went across the screen, all the links that were under where the red dragon went across at (like the "Main Page") was no longer clickable - like the path the dragon took is over the top of the link making it no longer work.
Fencer - going to make it any easier to remove the dragon - I really don't want to have to load the Ad Block plus on every computer I use just so I can hide the dragon..... yet another thing to load when all I want is a faster loading site... :-(
emmett: The dragon comes after a short amount of time (10-20 seconds) - so sit on the page with castle theme and wait.
Pbarb2: On the top of the page, there should be a "Castle" "Simple" and "No Font" choice that you can click on. Also in settings, main page - you should see those 3 options.
Pbarb2: OK, did some playing around - it looks like the dragon is only on the castle theme - apparently another "feature" or something.
So one way is to switch to another theme - kind of strange Fencer would add something like that to discourage people from using the Castle theme, but whatever.
Normally I would not tell people to get the ad blocker since it would also hide legitimate ad's on the site that helps Fencer get a little extra money, but until he adds a switch to remove it himself, this is the only other option (other then switching to a different theme)
Simply click on the "Install now" - then next time you see the dragon image, you can right-click on the dragon and choose "adblock image" and that image will now be hidden.
Oceans Apart: I get that Dragon, too. It is on my game sheet and covers part of my game. Very hard to play that way. Is there a way to turn it off? I am on webtv so thought at first that was it. But others are seeing it, too. Can anyone give an idea on what to do?
Isn't there some way that the names can be held in limbo in the server for a set period. Say for one month or three months maybe. That way people could change their names for a little while and be able to change back to their well known name within a set time period.
The other option is to set up a dummy pawn for yourself when you change your name then delete that pawn when you want to change back maybe???
Fencer: Well a couple of years ago, I would change my name for special occasions - like "BIG BAD SANTA" when it was around Christmas time and such - until a trouble-maker user decided to create a dummy account with my old name so I could not change back. Of course we got that fixed, but I have never changed my name since then - and was just wondering if this would fix that situation or not. O'well.
BIG BAD WOLF: Yes, someone can create a new account and steal your old name. I don't recommend too many changes. I see no reason for any changes anyway.
In a persons profile, it will show previous user names. Question: If I were to change my name, does that open up for someone to use my previous name? That is lets say I change my username to something that I only planned on using for a short time and planned to change back - could someone create a new account and "steal" my old name since I was not using it at the time? Or now that it saves it in the profile, do it also protect it?
1. Alice Chess 2. Double-move Chess 3. Dynamo Chess 4. Avalanche Chess
My list is getting small because so many really good games are already here ! But although I am not fond of checkers, I agree that the "International" 10x10 variant is called for.
76: Anti Ataxx 77: Small Ludo 78: Gothic Froglet (diagonal jumps) 79: Smal Froglet 8x8 80: Large Froglet 16x16 81: Chinese Checkers 82: International Checkers 83: Ataxx 9x9 84: More of Mancala 85: Anti Brain War Would that be interesting? 10 more?
BIG BAD WOLF: Someone mentioned a while ago to have a separate board for new game requests. That sounds good to me, as it would (perhaps....) eliminate duplicate and triplicate requests, and we could also see (perhaps...) where on the list our requests are, if they are on the list at all, like Boggle......
1. 6 dice version of Dice Poker 2. 6 dice version of Triple Dice Poker (Ultimate Dice Poker) 3. Bankroll version of Dice Poker (26 rolls for the game - use as many or as little per turn - for total of 26 in game) 4. Bankroll version of Triple Dice Poker 5. Dark Ataxx 6. Dominoes 7-12. Pick some domino variants 13. Dark Battleboats Plus - You start with 5 shots each, but you lose 1 for each of your ships that are sunk. Not only do you not see which ships you sunk, you DO NOT see your own board either! (This is to solve the problem of seeing your opponent shooting 4 shots and hence knowing you sunk a ship that way) 14. Hex Battleboats Plus (play on a hex type board) 15. Hex Dark Battleboats 16. Rifle/Shoot Chess 17. Chessky 18. Dark Crazy Screen Chess 19-50. 3+ player games. Imagine Frog Finder with 4 players & slightly larger board! 51. Frog Finder w/ lily pads decoys. Add 2 decoys for each player that will act like a frog, but won't count against if "guessed". If guessed, it will not give nor take away any points - just be reviled as a decoy in the game. 52. (like ponds) - BrainWar - for 5-15 players. Each player starts out with 13 cards of 1 suit (2-Ace). You pick which card to play each round (13 rounds per game). You goal is to place the highest unique card. Winner gets all played cards. At end, add up value of cards - highest amount wins. (So for example 3 players - player 1 plays an Ace, player 2 plays an Ace, player 3 plays a 9 - player 3 wins because it is the highest UNIQUE card of the hand - and gains 14+14+9 points) Plus other rules with I won't list here. 53. (like ponds) - Dark BrainWar for 5-15 players (same as above but Other players DO NOT see what cards each player has left, and does not see current score (other then their own) – You can see what cards were played – but you don’t know who played what.) 54. (like ponds) - High/Low Cards vs. dealer. (for 5-unlimited) - each person is dealt a card, where they have to guess if their card will be higher or lower then the dealers card. If correct, stay until next round - if not, eliminated. 55. Scrabble like word game 56-75. Card Games! What type of game is missing from most of the turn based game sites? Card Games.
OK, there is my first 75 of 250 games. Fencer, get to work.
