I'm wondering, how much is 28 Euro's in US Dollars today? I'm thinking of becoming a Rook again after the short time of being a Knight ( way to much thinking of how many open game slots that I have)
plaintiger: To expand upon that suggestion, when I am playing a multiple game match, it can be disconcerting to have the message box cleared after each game. I would like to see the message box contain all the messages sent during the match, not just the current game.
Walter Montego: i second that - though as far as i can tell, the messages do show up for the person you wrote them for - at least sometimes - because i'll say something when accepting a game, then go to the game to make my first move and find a message from my opponent saying, for example, "ain't that the truth?"...to which i, of course, have to reply with, "um...ain't what the truth?" and by the time my opponent makes their next move, they don't remember either...
it is really annoying. i agree that all messages pertaining to a game, from the sending of the invitation on, should appear in the chat history. thanks...
plaintiger: Is this in anyway related to the bug of having your reply to accepting a game invitation not appear in the message or show to the person you wrote it for?
Because of this bug, I have stopped writing a reply when I accept a game and wait until my second move or after my opponent's message stays on the page.
Fencer, it'd be nice if all the messages pertaining to a game would appear.
plaintiger: Just tested, and nope - when you reject, nothing gets sent to the other person - even if you write something in the box. Not sure if this is a bug or is suppose to do this.
does the person requesting membership in a fellowship not receive any notice back if the request is denied? i spent about fifteen minutes agonizing over the proper wording for a "request declined" notice and when i finally got it right, i chose "reject" (which should be "decline" or "deny") from the popup menu, clicked the "confirm" checkbox, and hit "send"...and then today i got a message from the person i thought i'd sent that message to saying, "why's the decision taking so long?"
wellywales: Not always, for example my highest score for tablut is in the middle of the graph. I haven't looked at the other graphs but I think they're all different.
Is there any where on the site that shows your own highest score achieved in a particular game, I thought it was on the graph, but I don't think that is the case, perhaps it could be implemented on the graph
I notice that in a match where one player has doubled, the cube appears with a "2" even when reviewing moves that preceded the double. The cube should be displayed as a "1" when reviewing a point in the match where the cube had not yet been turned.
The "show oldest messages first" used to always be there. Then, it disappeared for a while. I noticed it missing, but never thought to comment on it. (It is good to use when you join a new fellowship, or go to a DB you haven't been to before, and you want to read what has happened since the beginning. Much easier at that point to read from top to bottome, instead of bottom to top..) It did just return recently.
I think the "add to favorite boards" has been back a little longer than that, but it could have come back at the same time.
But yes, both used to be there, vanished, and are now back.. :-D
baddessi:the dice fix was about 2 weeks ago and discussed on the backgammon board I believe, the read latest message first link was a little before that but I have never seen any one discuss it
Eriisa: someone's gotta do it, right?
ok, how about the gammon dice...I know that before you weren't forced to use both dice, you could work around it..I'm probably not explaining that well, but I bet y'all know what I mean. Anyways, it seems "fixed" now and that seems new too..so whenever that happened, Thanks Fencer!
playBunny: I think it has been there for a long time. Some people like to read messages starting from the top and reading down, which is good for board which have... 10-15 posts total, but when boards have many pages of posts, I find that option pointless and never use it.
Every fellowship has a link to list in with your favorite boards, and every board has a link to show oldest messages first.
Is this new, or have Inot been paying attention before?
Not sure if this is a bug, or intended, so I am posting here, instead of bug tracker..
We can have multi-game matches in non backgammon tournies too??? In the tournament set up, it states clearly that the doubling cube isn't there (of course) if you choose the multi game matches.. it says the multi game matches will be there though.
I was setting up a halma tourney in Brave Eagles Halma fellowship, and tried it out, and was able to create a halma tourney with 5 win matches.. Seems like this would be a VERRRRRYYYYYY long tourney!!!! LOL...(I deleted it)
Guess we will have to read the tourney details very closely! If not, you could find yourself in a 5 year tournament.. lol..
