Right, but it shouldn't! I like to see how long someone has been playing on brainking. And I am also proud that I have been here for quite a while, and don't want that to change if I ever decide to change my nic.
题目: Becoming a member before even coming to the site?
It seems like I am running into a lot of profiles lately where their first login to the site is later than when their membership started. (For example, someone's rook membership would be June 1, 2005 to December 1, 2005. Then lower down it says their first login was July 11, 2005.) How can this be? I have run in to at least 4 or 5 over the last couple weeks.
I can't remember where I read it, now. I just looked under "Help" and couldn't see it there. I also started the process of creating a game, to see if that was where I saw it, but didn't see it there either..
It isn't an option I myself would choose. But I can see 2 people who are friends, playing a friendly game, might choose the option. I'm sure someone in this situation wouldn't find it foolish or silly at all..
Simply don't use it, and don't sign up for games that use it..
Or whatever the bonus is. So basically, if you are concerned about time outs, you should look at what the "bonus" time is, as that will be the minimum amount of time you will ever have between moves ... ????
So, if I moved quickly all the time in this tournament, I could potentially have a 10 day time limit? (Getting the 1 day bonus each move) Am I interpreting that part correctly?
I'm not quite understanding how it helps play faster games.. I guess I need to see it in action to get it.. Unless someone can make me understand better? :-)
Nothing is really wrong with it.. And what paulo said is true.. but I unfortunately don't speak any of those languages, and will never click to see what's on those discussion boards anyways. I wish I could though! lol..
Fencer, it seems like that is starting to happen on the game boards now? I notice I am told how many new messages the Czech discussion boards have, when I am playing that game..(at the top of the game board) ..
For example, when playing Backgammon, at the top, it tells me that the Czech Backgammon discussion board has 215 new messages..
Check out profiles of people.. They have changed a bit. Nice job..
Edit: However, now that people's tournaments are listed on a seperate page anyways, couldn't they ALL be listed, instead of having to click "more".. Made sense when everything was on the one profile page, but now that it's seperate, it seems they could all be listed.
But Maxxina's weekend days shouldn't affect the day the game times out for HIM. Why should his weekend days be added to MrLoupcity's own time to make a move?
I have noticed this before, then stopped noticing it, and assumed it got fixed.
Czuch, she was asking if you had cleared them, because that would clear that info out. She wasn't recommending you do it.
I would go to the main login page at www.brainking.com and make sure those areas are still filled out. I imagine they probably aren't. Just re-do it.
This is a private website.. not a Democracy.
Fencer has a user agreement that says moderation issues should be taken private, and not aired on the public board.
No vote necessary.
Im a goodun: Yes, a tournament creator can set up whatever parameters they want for their tournament. So, it would be perfectly acceptable to do that. Why not become a paid member and do just that? :-)
anastasia: If you type www.brainking.com into the GoTo box, it should take you to the login page. At least it does for me. (I normally come to the site through an F-key, which brings me directly to my main page).
Then once you are on the login page, tell it there to remember your info again. You will be all set until the next time you clear your cookies!
Deleting inactive players from the ratings/ranking charts is a fabulous idea!
Removing pawns from these lists though, I too think is a bad idea.. I would rather see how I compare with thousands of people, rather than just a few hundred. Maybe if our paid membership base had more people, it would be okay..
