i had 8 games where people had timed out too.. some i know about as they are no longer on the site since the crash and they are a 5 game match.. so have a few more to come yet... but others were out of the blue

i would think like some other site that if there is a membrship bought by one themn the other should be allowed to play without any problem.. i have my daughter who is also a member, and mainly uses our computer.. sometimes the ones at school too..
I have also had the problem at one site where a frind of mine was using one computer at their house, i was using mine here.. yet we could not get into the same room together to play.. it was saying it was the same IP address.. yet no matter how many times we wrote.. it just wouldnt let us play together.. we have worked out it was to do with our isp and the way we connect !!! so if that happens here there are a lot of us who wont be able to play together.. or something?? as i have NTL broadband as do quite a few others i know too!!!

gramps ... if you read brainking info. it tells you all you need to know there! the site went back to september.. and backups were done regularly.. disks do get corrupted.. even back ups!!!

if i had remembered which games i had finished harley i would of resigned, i sent an apology to the person concerned and also resigned .. i have another one at least that i have to resign when they return it.. but the message i had from the opponent was downright rude in my way of thinking! and there was no need for it.. which is also why i made a public apology!

yes thats true... but i wont be accused of doing something i just DONT do...

i will make this apology now.. as i have just been accused of cheating! by making a different move in a game from when the site was down..
I want to assure everyone, that i do not cheat! if i could remember my exact moves i would do them again! the game was a tourney game, it was a FUN??? tourney! and i get accused of cheating! the players rating was over 1000 higher than mine... so the person would of obviously won whatever...

anyway, again any apologies if i do this to anyone else, it is truly not intentional!

buckwheat.. you have an advantage over a lot of the members here in some ways when this happens.. you only have a maximum of 20 games to remember the moves on, some of us members have over a hundred or many more.. what are the chances of us remembering all the moves we made????

as we we dont have it here, but it is coming in the future, all we can do is wait :)

Damian, i have turned my refresh off totally...
just pressing F5 does the job! it really is something that we all can do without for now, and fencer is testing to see if it makes any difference.. if it doesn't then i am sure he will turn it on again for everyone :)

i am one of the players with over 200 games, just because i have that anount of games does not mean i play them all at once, different players are on at different times of the day, i may have 20 going at one time (if the player's are on line!)
other times, only 2 or 3 players are on line at any one time, so the amount of games cannot make any difference to the server as far as i can work out!
i would be quite happy to pay a higher price for my membership. i have made a donation to help towards this, i have also bought my daughter a membership. but she hardly plays, but the money was sent just the same.. so in my way, i have paid a higher cost for the amount of games i play!
and quite happy about it :)

i am in total agreement with harley and medic, this is a great place to be, yes the site does have its problems, there are only 2 people running it! you cannot expect miracles.. it is not their livleyhood, they have to work too...
so please everyone, be patient, It will get better!!!!!!!!

I am playing a game of battleboats, and when i write a mesage it does not go to the top of the game,but to the bottom, yet my opponents is in the right place.. is this happening to anyone else?

i first joined the site in October/November, but didn't play any games untill around March/April time, within a day of playing i decided to become a member, why? because i felt happy here, everyone was so welcoming, and thats the way it should be :) i will keep renewing my membership, i have also given a donation, and will be happy to give more, as it will not just benefit me but everyone... the better the site, the more members we will get.

try deleting your cookies, if you have had yours set as auto log in as i have done, i had to do this to let my daughter get on to the site

Thanks Dakota Spring, I did write to them, but there was no response! which annoyed me a little... as I do have a membership there...and yes as far as the membership goes, i have no fault, I have some very good friends on there too... so I will be sorry to give up my membership there for that reason, but also some of my friends are non members!

yes Fencer its a great site, i joined in november, but didnt play a game till 3 weeeks ago! within a day of playing i had bought a membership! I was that convinced it was a good site now :)

yes i realise it was since the power outage, as thats when i sent the mail, i did write via a members mail...and yes they did have a lot of mail sent then, as we all know they had so many problems then, which i respect. I am an honest player, have never set up another account, just to get ratings up!

iyt does not allow multiple accounts, i have a paid membership there, yet they wont let my daughter play! we use the same computer, i wrote to them as requested and didnt even get a reply! ok, so maybe they didnt get the mail?! maybe i should write again, but after what they have done to the non-members, i will not be renewing my membership there... as you say, 25 moves a day is rubbish! 40 was not too good either.. ok if you just moved occaisionally! but for us addicted players, no good at all.
this is a brilliant site, keep up the good work .

seems to me you cant make everyone happy and mkatris certainly isnt! lol... he is one of very very few.... the rest of us are :)
