Board for everybody who is interested in BrainKing itself, its structure, features and future.
If you experience connection or speed problems with BrainKing, please visit Host Tracker and check "BrainKing.com" accessibility from various sites around the world. It may answer whether an issue is caused by BrainKing itself or your local network (or ISP provider).
MadMonkey: Yeah, I thought it might be better to choose a game which I didn't lose. However, the video generator is quite CPU-consuming, so I don't think we would ever add something like "create a game video" functionality to BrainKing. Maybe as an external service in the future.
Walter Montego: Hmm, that's unlikely. I don't plan to host any videos here, and I don't think it's possible to replay videos backwards on YouTube (or is it?).
I created a simple application that takes a PGN file (chess notation) and generates a MOV video to replay the game. It's just a side project, something like a programming exercise.
Hi, I'm asking this for someone who lost her password. has anyone here ever gone through this?
The form on the login page says: "Did you forget your user name or password? Use this form and the link to your password change page will be sent to your e-mail." but the form asks only for an email? I don't see the logic
Carnie: things might have changed... nowadays, some countries have laws that require web sites to allow them to delete all accounts and history. Fencer probably would have to do that manually.
Carnie: it's the user ID 83705. But you cannot access it anymore; the usual link <https://brainking.com/profile?u=83705> fails (and shows your own profile instead). However, 83704 and 83706 are fine (both are from July 2009).
Looks like someone asked to be deleted explicitly. Or got deleted for exorbitant behavior in some way.</a>
Nothingness: Where it list a players bkr, it shows 100/4000 on the tournament sign up page. So, put 1400 in place of 100 and 1700 where you see 4000. Then only players between that bkr can accept your game. This is just to the left of the <=
When creating a new game im given a few rating options. Such as < or <=.. what do these mean? Let's say my chess rating is 1600.i want to put up a chess challenge but only want my opp rating to be between 1400-1700.. what symbols do I put on the challenge
Bernice: You brought it up on a public discussion board, which invites comments from the public. But, yes, that being said, it would be appropriate to end the topic at this point.
Me, to have no problem on the net, I pay with a virtual card. It’s a card valid for only one transaction and I choose the amount I want. Happy New Year everyone.
Bernice: I don’t think they took your card info from here. Otherwise every member would be hacked by now. Likely spyware that hacked your banking info. But if not, then Fencer would have some explaining to do.
rod03801: because this is the only overseas spend I have on a particular card...for them to take money off that card they must play in here....and I think the gamesite is called gamez.com
Clandestine 1havent you heard of people stealing from credit cards....well that is a bank account in my world.....and they play games on a gamesite that i cant remember the name of but it came up on my bank statement....they will know who they are and so do the police....
To the person that thought they could getaway with swiping money from my account...youve been CAUGHT....it is now in the hands of the police...Happy New Year and i hope you go to jail
P-G: When I search "Access Code" on this board, I find that it seems to have something to do with the brainking app. That's all I found about it. It's been about 10 years since it was last mentioned.
Right under the "Access Code" of your profile, it says : "Access code is your unique identification string (generated by BrainKing). If you are using third party products to access BrainKing, you might be asked for this code to confirm your identity. This is NOT your BrainKing password, so there is no risk of accessing your private data if you provide this code to external programs. (*) - invisible to other players"
grillyx: Normally when it's a programming glitch or data-base thing he will if it's quick & he has time. Just drop him a short message including the game link
I remember that problem you have cropping up a long time ago, but I had though it had been patched up
grillyx: Yep, that looks like a Fencer Fix-it problem
The moves before seem fine if you scroll back, its when you get to 17. 19-20, 18-off, 18-off .....obviously a bug, i can not even get your dice throw to show properly on screen
