And create an account. The system will automatically play your games as quickly as possible. The only down side is you need to have some faith in your fellow man because you are giving me a hashed copy of your password(I do not keep the actual password) for this reason I let you chose what servers(brainking members with the server software) you trust and witch you don't.
This new system currently has 2 servers that play all the games and I am looking for more servers so if anyone is interested in becoming a server send me your e-mail and I will send you the necisary files and instructions.
playBunny: Well that was a very helpful post I will have to take your recommendations and make some changes. I have a 3 hour flight tomorow so I will do it then. Today I will spend programing the web interface for my new always running autoplayer. Much like the old one writen by hexkid but my server is not the one making the moves.
Hi everyone. I have recently implemented hexkid's AutoPlay Utility on my server. This is not officially part of Brain King but can be useful. If you are not already using hexkid's autoplayer you can sign up for mine at http://mctrivia.com/BK/AutoPlayer
This utility will play any games were you are in pass position or have only one possible choice.
Well there are 40 squares(well circles) on the board plus 4 home space and 4 start spaces. This means that white can take up
48c4 posible ways(sorry can't find my calculator)
That is the easy thing to figure out. I beleive to calculate the number of positions both sides can be on would be
48c4+44c4+x
not sure at this moment how to calculate x. It i caused because the extra 8 positions are seperate for each board. I will have to think more about this when I have slept.
rednaz23: As for the message it is sent every time the auto player plays for us. It allows for you to play us a lot faster as the system checks every 15 minutes if the game is autopassed and if it is will play on our behalf. If there is more then one option it does nothing.
Auto pass works for the following games so far: Anti Backgammon Anti Chess Anti Reversi Backgammon Backgammon Race Crowded Backgammon Hyper Backgammon Ludo Nackgammon Reversi 10x10 Reversi 6x6 Reversi 8x8
rednaz23: the auto pass thing is a program hexkid wroute at my sugestion on the user script board. It works well we have been playing with it for a few weeks in private games. No it is not an official part of brain king Fencer refuses to write the option so we decided to write it. If you want to use it the address is: http://hexkid.eu/BK/AutoPlayer/AutoPlayer.php
You do however need to give your username and the MD5 hashed version of your password. The reason MD5 is because it can not be reverse enginered into your password.
rednaz23: It is common practice in embeded systems(my area of work) to use either the temperature or the smallest unit of mesurment acompanied with a psudo-random algorithm to generate random numbers. In this way even if you could chose the time down to the nano secound of when you want to play the psod-random code will make it so that the number will still be next to imposible to predict. Using temperature is ideal because this is constantly fluctuating and is imposible to predict.
I know that intel procesors use the CPU temperature to generate random numbers I am not sure about the others or what code Fencer is using. Would be interesting if someone could write a program to find ludo statistics.
Longest pass streak. Longest consecutive die roles of the same value How many times each die has fallen as well as set combinations.
rod03801: 3 6's in a row have a stitistical probability of 0.463% about the same as getting 30 passes in a row. I beleive are record is 48 times. There should be atleast 29 times that people got 6-6-6 before a 48 passes game happened.
Salkkuman: The player that is going to roll will have a 16.67% chance to win in that roll. The next player to roll has a 13.89% chance to win on his roll. However once the player that is going to roll, rolls and loses they switch places on there stitistical probability to win. Over all the first person to roll in this situation has a 9.09% beter odds of wining then the secound player to roll.
Rose: It takes about 2 to 5 secounds to load for me. Which is really long compared to all the other games. I also am on high speed internet(800KB/s) and running a P4 3.2GHz machine with a Gig of RAM. Using google web accelerator it use to be instint however I found that screwed with Brainking so I have uninstalled it.
rednaz23: I would take the draw but it is up to your oponent. You may want to wright the reasons for the draw request when giving it to show them the wisdom of the draw.
Vikings: Why wouldn't there be a move? Unless you moved to the end. If you did get all your pieces in the end it would just flash up the red screen saying you can't make any valid moves.
Now I guess you should be able to chose the order of dies to use. You would probably want to use the 1 first to get out then the 6 to move ahead. You may also may want to use the 3 then the 5 so you can move ahead 8 spaces landing on someone in the middle.
Vikings: I disagrea that spliting moves and bones roles would be a programing night mare. The computer just keeps giving you dies until you roll something other then 6 or 1(going back to my variant) and you then can use each die in order one at a time.
I.E. A little arrow points to the first die. I click on the person I want to move that far then the arrow advances to the next die and I chose the same piece or another one.
As for autopass that would be very nice but unfortunetly Fencer has an eversion to it so it will not happen.
I personally think that a 4 playuer game should play out for secound third and fourth place. If someone times out there pieces are removed from the board and they automatically come 4th.
