Do you miss something on BrainKing.com and would you like to see it here? Post your request into this board! If there is a more specific board for the request, (i.e. game rule changes etc) then it should be posted and discussed on that specific board.
Maybe the majority do want to have the <trivial and boring item>. I know I do, but I also know that Fencer is not interested in it so I try to be one voice that does not drive him crazy.
on that subject anyone..... Its still open season on the other subjects though! rofl.
there appears to be no reason not to implement this as an optional attribute for the player, other than "it is difficult to implement and other things take priority". If this could be stated then I believe nobody would bring it up again.
There is no reason to believe the majority want auto-pass, it's the same few who bring it up. As a feature request I'd like to ask for no more posts on this trivial and boring subject.
You also have to realize that even if Fencer was planning on adding autopass, it wouldn't happen right away. There are other far more important things for Fencer to do first.
I dont understand the 'no chat' thing with auto pass. It seems like for the player who keeps moving it would be the same as taking one turn, they would be forced to continue playing until the opponent could move, no different than a single move, with no interuption in chatting ability.
so for some reason you cant look down the page to see the discussion, nor across the board to follow the game moves?????
must be ever so confusing when you cant see it all on one page.....mmmmm other sites are like that where you cant see it all. But this one...its alll there, so how confusing can that be??
feel free to write to webpatrouille-iyt@yahoo.de for iyt-bs, respectively webpatrouille-bk@yahoo.de for bk-bs ... a board for linguistic studies, though,
seems really missing. - where not only Walter could elaborate logopaedic impressions. ~*~
How about a BrainKing social archives page? Detailing developments good and bad, for the amusement of future members. For example the rise and fall of KM with details of it's structure and the roles of it's officers would be fascinating, no real ids need be used.
Andersp, thats because Fencer has 'customer service' people to answer for him. Thats what we do, answer the questions that get asked over and over again. Autopass is one such question :o)
I don't have to answer - i'm trying to help Fencer. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to. But I think Fencer has made it clear he is not going to add Autopass....
Neither reason is good:
1. You can chat by sending messages.
2. The games in question are not affected by remembering the previous position. Besides, you can scroll through the moves if you like.
Real reason: Personal preference of the developer.
1. If a move is auto-passed, there is no possibility of sending a message with that move. Some players may still like to chat even if one player must pass many moves in a row.
2. If a player is new to a game, many passes in a row can leave the game very different from when they last saw it. Chances are very good they will think it is a bug in the system and we will end up with many many "Why did my opponent get to move more than once in a row? Are they cheating??" or "This game doesn't look right. What happened?" or something like that.
Feel free to argue with these reasons. It's been done many times before and hasn't helped, so I'll tell you know arguing with them won't help this time.
yeah, something where either i could play a game out from the start or import a current game or setup the pieces how i like to test different moves. this could work for any number of games(virtually any game that involves thinking ahead and does not involve chance or secrecey). i don't know how easy it would be to impliment, but the first part of the above, playing a game from the start, should just be a case of making the game into a single player game where i have control of both sides.(i'm not a programmer, so please don't take offence if this is more difficult than it sounds). as for importing games or setting up the board, i don't know how you would do that.

Hi Fencer, i know you're a busy man, but any chance of answering my previous post. I was only thinking of a drag and drop board, nothing too elaborate.
