Artful Dodger: She was awesome. I watched that episode, and I've seen the video linked all over the place, and I listen to it all the way through each time. There's quite a few really good ones on that show this year so far. I hope it's a better season than last year.
mckinley: He was my favorite American Idol winner in a LONG time. A couple weeks ago Fox showed the official video for that song during a commercial break on one of the recent repeats of So You Think You Can Dance. (When they had repeats through the Olympics) It was decent.
puupia: At one time, as I recall, there was a stated rule like that, but there doesn't seem to be now. I would recommend putting someone on your own Hide, if you feel they are posting too much. I will ask Monkey what he thinks
Mousetrap: One of my favorite 80's songs!! I have an awesome CD with different remixes of that song. I haven't pulled it out in a while. I think I will now.
MadMonkey: I absolutely LOVE 80's music! Come On Eileen is one of my favorites too! I don't remember much of it when it was actually popular, but my big Sister was my hero, and I listened to all her older records all the time.
Culture Club... Duran Duran... probably my 2 favorite groups from that era.
When looking for that, I also found a George Michael version of it, which was really good. (I don't often like someone else doing a classic great song) http://youtube.com/watch?v=8c7x2JD_j-0
TexasToest: WOW!!! Thanks for that!! I just spent about an hour looking at Stray Cats/Brian Setzer videos after watching those 3. That upright bass player in the 2nd two videos was just fantastic.
Rock this Town was always my favorite Stray Cats song.. so I HAD to try and see if there was a video of that song at the same show as those 2 videos. There was! http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z0FlWrd6dSQ&feature=related I was figuring there would be another great solo by that guy playing the upright bass, but there wasn't. He was still great though!
TexasToest: Hope y'all don't mind another Zep video.. Since I got thinking about Misty Mountain Hop, I decided I had to go look for a video. What a cool song. Fun dancing to it (maybe SLIGHTLY impaired), too.
This is live, back in the 70's.. to compare them from when they were in their prime.
题目: Re: Enjoy these while you can, they're being yanked quickly
Jim Dandy: I wonder if they did Misty Mountain Hop, last night. (My personal favorite Zep song ever). They are probably my favorite band ever. I would LOVE to get to see them someday. Do you find they compare to how they used to sound? (I couldn't really watch the videos. They were too choppy and it was just driving me crazy)
rod03801: Well, I'm not on WebTV anymore... But yes, webtv users can post links. I suppose he could have copied and pasted it incorrectly somehow? I dunno.. Like I said, until I pull my webtv out, I have no clue..
Tigger: No, that's what doesn't quite make sense. WebTV just sees the regular plain old text box. With no option above the board to "switch". I am not positive what the problem is. Since it is just copying and pasting code, it would seem that being on WebTV would have nothing to do with it. I'd have to hook up my WebTV to investigate it a bit.. We didn't have this video capability here when I was still on WebTV.
Radiant2007 :-): I'm sorry if this is wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that it matters if you use rich text editor or not. So, try it the opposite of what you did. (If you have rich text editor on, turn it off.. if you have it off, turn it on..) Worth a try anyways. :-) I might be totally off my rocker, too.
coan.net: I LOVE Nickelback! Thanks for posting that. Never really get to see videos on tv. Seems to me MTV used to play videos when I was a kid! lol.. never see that there now. My favorite Nickelback song is probably Animals. Or the song that is after it on the CD.. I can't think of the name, LOL
I have never posted a video here, so I hope you all will indulge me. Check these videos out when you have a few minutes to spare.
Are there any Bela Fleck and the Flecktones fans out here? They are one of my all time favorites. I haven't listened to them in quite a while, and the talk of the Uke got me thinking about how I like when people do neat things with banjos. So, I headed over to UTube to look at some Bela Fleck videos. (He is AMAZING with the banjo.)
I was only going to post one video, but couldn't decide between 3, which one to post. (Actually I found quite a few others I'd like to post, but I will post another on a later date)
The first one is a regular video made for one of my favorite Bela Fleck songs: SInister Minister
This next one is SO cool, I just HAD to post it. This is a live video made from a concert. He plays the guitar in this one, instead of banjo. It starts off with this really neat dude doing "throat singing". If the beginning isn't your cup of tea, please keep watching, there is just so much neat stuff in the rest of it. (In my opinion anyways)
And finally, this last one is a solo by Victor Wooten of the song "Amazing Grace", part of the same concert of the previous video. Just a really neat take on the song, that I couldn't resist posting.
I promise I won't post 3 videos ever again! I was just so excited about re-visiting them, that I couldn't decide which to post. I wasn't able to find my favorite Bela Fleck and The Flecktones song of all time. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it! (Their stuff is mostly instrumental, so the name of the song doesn't necessarily stick with you.. lol) Next week, I will post one video of theirs which shows one dude playing 2 saxophones at once! It was great!
