The older you are the funnier it gets...........
This is a story of two elderly people living in a mobile home park in
Florida. He was a widower and she was a widow. They had known one
another for a number of years.

One evening there was a community supper in the Club House, and the
widower and widow made a foursome with two other singles. They had a wonderful evening and spirits were high. The widower sent a few admiring glances across the table, and the widow smiled coyly back at him. Finally, he plucked up his courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?" After about six seconds of careful consideration, she answered, "Yes. Yes, I will. "

The meal ended with a few more pleasant exchanges and they went to their respective homes. The next morning, the widower was troubled. Did she say 'Yes', or did she say 'No'? He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could not recall. He went over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank. He remembered asking the question, but for the life of him he could not recall her response.

With fear and trepidation, he picked up the phone and called her. First,
he explained that he didn't remember as well as he used to. Then he
reviewed the lovely evening past. As he gained a little more courage he then inquired of her, "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say 'Yes' or did you say 'No'?"
"Why, you silly man, I said 'Yes. Yes I will.' And I meant it with all
my heart. "The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat.

Then she continued, "And I am so glad you called because I couldn't
remember who asked me."

题目: Old Men and Habits
This was my grandfather's favourite tale on old people with set habits:

Two old men were sitting on a park bench (a la Aqualung?) one morning. One said to the other, "You know, habits are so difficult to break at our age. For instance, it's become my habit to go home after the morning walk and have a cold beer, whether there's some at home or not."

The second man was most intrigued; "How can you have a beer if there's none at home?"

Said the first old man forlornly, "That's what I was talking about - (sigh) habit!'

题目: Want to try your hand at acting?
I have done this often. The results are amazing if you succeed.
You casually walk up to some guy you know who has more confidence than you feel he deserves. You look around casually as if thinking about something (which you aren't) you do this for a little bit while the guy is absorbed in whatever. Than you react as if surprised as if you noticed something about his fly in his pants being open. (Don't overdo the act!)Than in a way that is best for you.....NOT SOMEBODY ELSE.... tell him that his fly is CLOSED. (in the same way you would if you were telling him that his fly IS actually OPEN. If distracted enough he WILL attempt to CLOSE his fly only to be dumbfounded to see that it is closed. So now just relax and watch as he deals with this perplexing issue until he realises that YOU DID TELL HIM THAT "HIS FLY IS CLOSED" Than wait to see how he deals with this info!
I have seen such confident guys become speachless and flustered so fast that I can truely say that it is COOL to watch and observe. But I always go after the guys who have some superior edge over me, a boss for example or a "class clown" who always gets the last word, etcetra.
Thanks for reading my post!

However, because the French word "habit" means "suit" as in "Suit and tie" in English, Hopefully the pope will write out his newly established permission in such a way that the French speaking preists will not feel excluded and made to feel that THEY must continue to abstain from kissing nuns.

Fried Chicken and The Pope </center>

After watching sales falling off for three straight months at Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Colonel calls up the Pope and asks for a favor.

The Pope says, "What can I do?"

The Colonel says, "I need you to change the daily prayer from, 'Give us this day our daily bread' to 'Give us this day our daily chicken'. If you do it, I'll donate 10 Million Dollars to the Vatican."

The Pope replies, "I am sorry. That is the Lord's prayer and I can not change the words." So the Colonel hangs up.

After another month of dismal sales, the Colonel panics, and calls again. "Listen your Excellency. I really need your help. I'll donate $50 million dollars if you change the words of the daily prayer from 'Give us this day our daily bread' to 'Give us this day our daily chicken.'"

And the Pope responds, "It is very tempting, Colonel Sanders. The church could do a lot of good with that much money. It would help us to support many charities. But, again, I must decline. It is the Lord's prayer, and I can't change the words."

So the Colonel gives up again. After two more months of terrible sales. The Colonel gets desperate. "This is my final offer, your Excellency. If you change the words of the daily prayer from, 'Give us this day our daily bread' to 'Give us this day our daily chicken' I will donate $100 million to the Vatican." The Pope replies, "Let me get back to you."

So the next day, the Pope calls together all of his bishops and he says, "I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is that KFC is going to donate $100 million to the Vatican." The bishops rejoice at the news. Then one asks about the bad news.

The Pope replies, "The bad news is that we lost the Wonder Bread account."

Two patients limp into two different American Medical clinics with
the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require
a hip replacement.

The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same
day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

The second sees the family doctor after waiting a week for an
appointment, then waits eighteen weeks to see a specialist, then
gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month and finally
has his surgery scheduled for 6 months from then.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

The first is a Golden Retriever.....

The second is a Senior Citizen.

A girl was visiting her blonde friend, who had acquired two new dogs, and  asked her what their names were.

The blonde responded by saying that one was named Rolex and one was named  Timex.

Her friend said, "Whoever heard of someone naming dogs like that?"

The Stranger (excellent reading for anyone)

A few months before I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to
our small Tennessee town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with
this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family.
The stranger was quickly accepted and was around to welcome me into the
world a few months later.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind,
he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom
taught me the word of God, and Dad taught me to obey it. But the stranger He was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with
adventures, mysteries and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always
knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed
able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each
other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to her room and read
her books (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home... not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad was a teetotaler who didn't permit alcohol in the home, not even for
cooking. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced
strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... and NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you were to walk into my parent's den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?....

We just call him, "TV."

**Note: This should be required reading for every household in America!**

He has a younger sister now. We call her, "computer."

Moses and the Ten "Things"
"Excuse me, sir."
"Is that you again, Moses?"
"I'm afraid it is, sir."
"What is it this time, Moses.  More computer problems?"
"How did you guess?"
"I don't have to guess, Moses.  Remember?"
"Oh, yeah.  I forgot."
"Tell me what you want, Moses."
"But you already know.  Remember?"
"Moses!"
"Sorry, sir."
"Well, go ahead, Moses.  Spit it out!"
"Well, I have a question, sir.  You know those 'ten things' you sent me"
"You mean the Commandments, Moses?"
"That's it.  I was wondering if they were important."
"What do you mean 'were important', Moses?  Of
course, they're important.  Otherwise I wouldn't have sent them to you."
"Well, sorry, but I lost them.  I could say the dog ate them, but of
course you would see right through that."
"What do you mean 'you lost them' !  Are you  trying
to tell me you  didn't save them, Moses?"
"No, sir.  I forgot."
"You should always save, Moses."
"Yeah, I know.  You told me that before.  I was going to, but I forgot.
I did send them to some people before I lost them though.  "
"And did you hear back from any of them?"
"You already know I did."
What about the one guy who said he never uses 'shalt not'.  Can he
change the words a little bit?"
"Yes, Moses.  As long as he doesn't change the meaning."
"And what about the guy who thought your stance was a little harsh and
recommended calling them the Ten Suggestions, or letting people pick
one or two to try for a while?"
"Moses, I'll act like I didn't hear that."
"I think that means, 'no'.  Well, what about the guy who said I was scamming him?"
"I think that is spamming, Moses."
"Oh, yeah.  I e-mailed him back and told him I don't even eat that
stuff, and I have no idea how you can send it to someone through a computer."
"And what he did say?"
"You know what he said.  He used Your name in vain.  You don't think he
might have sent me one of those -er - plagues, and that's the reason I
lost those ten things, do you?"
"They're called viruses, Moses."
"Whatever!  This computer stuff is just too much for me.  Can we just go
back to those stone tablets?  It was hard on my back taking them out
and reading them each day, but I never lost them."
"We'll do it the new way, Moses."
"I was afraid you would say that, sir."
"Moses, what did I tell you to do if you messed up?"
"You told me to hold up this rat and stretch it out toward the computer."
"It's a mouse, Moses. Mouse!  Mouse!
And did you do that?"
"No, I decided to try the technical support first.
After all, who knows more about this stuff than you, and I really like
your hours.  By the way, sir, did Noah have two of these mice on the ark?"
"No, Moses."
"One other thing.  Why didn't you name them frogs instead of mice,
because didn't you tell me the thing they sit on is a pad?"
" I didn't name them, Moses.  Man did,
and you can call yours a frog ... if you want to."
"Oh, that explains it.  Kind of like Adam, huh, sir?  I bet some
woman told him to call it a mouse.  After all, wasn't it a woman
who named one of the computers Apple?"
"Say good night, Moses."
"Wait a minute, sir.  I am stretching out the mouse, and it seems
to be working.  Yes, a couple of the 'ten things' have come back."
"Which ones are they, Moses?"
"Let's see.  'Thou shalt not steal from any grave an image and 'Thou
shalt not uncover thy neighbor's wife.' "
"Turn the computer off, Moses.  I'm sending you
another set of stone tablets.  How does 'Fed Exp' sound ?
....and I am sending them Freight Collect this time !

I have a Golden retriever & I was buying a large bag of Purina at Wal-Mart and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time.

I continued that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.

(I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her.)

Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition because I had been poisoned.

I told her no; it was because I'd been sitting in the street licking myself and a car hit me. I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack because he was laughing so hard as he staggered out the door.

In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by ship and it was also before commercial fertilizer's invention, so large shipments of manure were common.
It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by product is methane gas. As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did) happen. Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening.
After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term "Ship High In Transit" on them, which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.
Thus evolved the term "S.H.I.T ", (Ship High In Transport) which has come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.
You probably did not know the true history of this word. Neither did I.
I had always thought it was a GOLF term.

题目: Hillarious joke

Yesterday I was, for the first time, at a religious Jewish friday dinner. It was very nice, and the father of the family told us a joke (which his daughter claimed she told him):

The U.S. decided to check if there is any oxygen on Mars. They sent a spaceship there, with a man inside. When he got to Mars, he decided to check if there is or isn't by lighting a match. He took the matchbox, took out a match, almost lit it up--and then he suddenly sees a man in black waving his finger from side to side franticaly, signaling him, "NO! NO!!!". The astronaut decided to listen and went back to Earth.

When he came back, everyone was very happy, celebrated the day, and asked him, "Is there or isn't there oxygen on Mars?"

He explained them the story, and they turned furious. "What?!" They screamed. "Because some man in black clothes you failed us all?! Go back there this instant!" And he did.

When he landed, he tried doing the same again. But this time, there were thirty people in black clothes waving their finger franticaly. He didn't light it once more and went back to earth.

Once again, everyone were happy, celebrated the day, and asked him again, "is there or isn't there oxygen on Mars?"

He explained them the story, mentioning there were thirty people instead. They were furious, and explained to him, "Look. This project costed BILLIONS of dollars to the U.S. Everyone is depending on you. So dead or alive, YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE ANSWER!!!"

Understanding the mess he got himself into, he returned once more to Mars. This time, when he wanted to light the match, there were THREE-HUNDRED PEOPLE there, waving their fingers franticaly. This time, he didn't care. He tried lighting the match--and succeeded.

Angrily, he took off his helmet and started screaming, "YOU BASTARDS! For the first time I came here, one of you waved like that. The second time, thirty of you did. Now three-hundred of you did. And nothing happened! You should be ashamed of yourself! What kind of a reason could you have to do something like that?!"

And all the black-clothed people started screaming, "Shabbat! Shabbat!"

Liked? I thought it's hillarious. I was certain the reason for them not wanting him to light up the match was because the planet was filled with methane gas...

Three blondes were all applying for the last available position on the Texas Highway Patrol. The detective conducting the interview looked at the three of them and said, "So y'all want to be cops, huh?"
The blondes all nodded.
The detective got up, opened a file drawer and pulled out a folder. Sitting back down, he opened it and pulled out a picture, and said, "To be a detective, you have to be able to detect. You must be able
to notice things such as distinguishing features and oddities such as scars and so forth."
So saying, he stuck the photo in the face of the first blonde and withdrew it after about two seconds. "Now,” he said, "did you notice any distinguishing features about this man?"
The blonde immediately said, "Yes, I did. He has only one eye!" The detective shook his head and
said, "Of course he has only one eye in this picture! It's a profile of his face! You're dismissed!"
The first blonde hung her head and walked out of the office.
The detective then turned to the second blonde, stuck the photo in her face for two seconds, pulled it back and said, "What about you? Notice anything unusual or outstanding about this man?"
"Yes! He only has one ear!" The detective put his head in his hands and exclaimed, "Didn't you hear what I just told the other lady? This is a profile of the man's face! Of course you can only see one ear!! You're excused also!"
The second blonde sheepishly walked out of the office.
The detective turned his attention to the third and last blonde and said, "This is probably a waste of time, but.." He flashed the photo in her face for a couple of seconds and withdrew it, saying, "All right,
did you notice anything distinguishing or unusual about this man?"
The blonde said, "I sure did. This man wears contact lenses."
The detective frowned, took another look at the picture and began
looking at some of the papers in the folder. He looked up at the blonde with a puzzled expression and said, "You're absolutely right! His bio says he wears contacts! How in the world could you tell that by looking at his picture?"
The blonde rolled her eyes and said, "Well, DUH! With only one eye and one ear, he certainly can't wear glasses!"

Chin-Chin the panda was on trial for entering a New York City restaurant, eating dinner, pulling out a machine gun, and shooting out the windows and doors.

The judge looked at Chin-Chin's lawyer and proclaimed, "Thirty eyewitnesses saw your client pay for dinner, shoot up the place, and leave. Security cameras caught the entire incident on video. I have no choice but to sentence your client ..."

"Wait a second, your honor," said the lawyer, "My client may be guilty, but there are extenuating circumstances. He couldn't help his behavior that night, and if you look up the word 'panda' in the dictionary, you'll have no choice but to agree."

The judge was puzzled, but he had his secretary bring his dictionary into court. There, under the letter P, he found; "PANDA: Black and white bear from China that eats shoots and leaves."

My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned ... couldn't concentrate.

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it ... mainly because it was a so-so job.

Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was too exhausting.

Then I tried to be a chef -- figured it would add a little spice too my life but I just didn't have the thyme.

I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't cut the mustard.

My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy.

I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patience.

Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn't fit in.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income.

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining.

So then I got a job in a workout center, but they said I wasn't fit for the job.

After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it.

My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.
