Pedro..i suppose you could watch the game, i couldnt. Hockey WC isnt a big event here in USA.
But i have seen pictures how the chicken Niedermayer is trying to kill his teammate from Colorado, Forsberg. I guess that is what Maple leaf is calling "attitude"?
As you (Pedro) know the Canadians have their way to play hockey and Europe has their.
From what i have seen in swedish news was the attack on Forsberg the turnpoint, he says he is happy to still be alive so i guess its more worth for him than a "World Cup" gold.
ML - I didn't expect that at all!!! I still can't believe that the Sweds with Lidström, Tärnström, Forsberg, Alfredsson, Axelsson, D. Tjärnqvist, Jönsson etc. lost their 3-1 lead and the entire game...
I dont think that would surprise anyone.
Canada is the home of hockey after all
Thanks for the update and roll on the Flames who take an early 1-0 series lead late in the first OT
Only messing Andersp, did you watch it ?
What a load of rubbish LOL
Its wrong i think (as much as i am an Arsenal supporter) that all these players did not play for England.
Also if you look at all the other friendlies tonight, how many other players from all teams all of a sudden could not find time for one reason or another to play for there countries.
When i came here i was surprised how "small' hockey is. In Sweden every little "village" has an arena with artificial ice. I brought my skates but i havent used them yet...ive been here 4 years now LOL
Yeah, I was just gonna tell you, LJ, that Lendl was better than McEnroe and Flemming combined...he'd kick their ass playing against them just by himself...;-)
LOL..Not sure Pedro will like that remark about Lendl :)
Yup..im old, the first "great" hockey game i saw was the first win Sweden had against Soviet Union
in World Cup. 1963!! 2-1 :)..i still have the ticket, maybe i can sell it on E-bay? LOL
LJ..Sure, i remember those games with Borg, i saw him once in Stockholm Open, unfortunately he had no chance against Ilie Nastase in that game.
Nastase was a "genious" too :)
LJ..I guess you are too young to remember Björn Borg, he started the swedish "tennis wonder".
Im afraid that NHL will miss Forsberg from next season, he is going back to Sweden, so is Salo, Avs new goalie.
Pedro...i read about Flyers game yesterday in the newspaper. The poor writer couldnt find enough excuses but seems the goalie had another bad day:)
My wifes boys were at the game, poor boys, no fun Christmas present :)
If Forsberg is ok then Avs will have the trophy back again, no doubts :)
They have a new good goalie now too :)
I wouldn't bet a dime on Leafs or Colorado. In my eyes, the Avs team is much worse than it was last season and generally, I'd say that teams from the Eastern Conference are better than those from the West. As for Toronto, I don't like the way the team is made up. Players like Sundin, Mogilnyi, McCabe...I don't know, as I say, I wouldnt bet on them. But I may be wrong. BTW, I'm a Pens fan...:(
The Toronto Maple Leafs is my beleif the just beat Philly and Boston and tied Ottawa last Night so there primed and ready.Tey have alot of good spare Player that Play Night to Night so there prepared.and they have the size to match philly ...Thank for you input Mike :o)
