heavenlyemma: Global mods have nothing to do with Private fellowships, as in no control and cant interfere. It is a mute point if you are no longer in the FS anyway, you cant mod what you aren't in.
Can I invite players to my fellowship tournaments even though they are not members of the fellowship? or do they have to members of the fellowship to play?
TarantinoFan: The no time limit option is useful to play with a friend that you trust not to hold the game forever. If playing with someone unknown to you, better make it unrated.
Fencer: The only reason I can see for it to be there is to frustrate people into resigning so you can falsely raise your own BKR.
Make it never ending, make a few moves and then stop altogether so the other person gets frustrated at having it in their list and resigns. You get a free BKR boost without having played a decent fair game!
joshi tm: Thank you, but are you sure? it says there that i'll lose 61 points if i resign. i'm not the one who posted the game, i only selected it from the waiting games list. it is his move (the first move).
BURDUFG: Since there is no move made, just resign. You'll lose the game, but no BKR points. You will lose BKR after the second move played, and then resign.
hi, a have a game of chess from my early days here, made by me with no expiration, and the user that accepted the invitation never made a move and disappeared. is there a way to cancel the game, without losing a lot of points?
I'm a mod in a couple of f/s and was just wondering if anyone knew why there were options for pawns? I didn't think pawns could join f/s anyway and as soon as a memebership runs out and they revert to a pawn they are unable to post? I thought they were only left as members of f/s for when they renew their paid membership?
Fencer: Ho Hum, ok i will do, just trying to save time I will send you it after i have saved it back from you, just so i can send it back, so you can save something you already have LOL
alanback: So do i BUT i dont understand why. If i go to that picture in my profile collection and right click, thats its URL as Fencer already has it. Seems totaly crazy if i have to send it to him again, a waste of my time & his valuable time
MadMonkey: You cannot submit an URL from our own server. The system expects the file to be on a different site, of course. If you want to use this image, download it to your computer, then upload it to your profile.
Its one you already have, thats why i did not think it would be a problem I dont have it anymore, but i can save it back to disk & re-send it back to you if i have to , just seems a waste of time as you already have it, you would be approving one already approved lol
Fencer, i have tried again by submitting the URL and i guess you are not getting it as it has not changed Can you tell me what i am doing wrong please.
Is the change icon working ? I asked 2 days ago to have mine changed, but still the same smoking monkey The one i want back is already stored on brainking, so i used the brainking URL, OR is that the problem ? Only other thing i can do is right-click, save picture to my pc, then re-submit it as a file, which seems a total waste of time as brainking already has it.
Did I miss an announcement of game time suspended? One of my opponents is now more than 4 hours past his deadline of moving, and the game is still listed with a negative amount of time to the deadline, instead of him getting 24hours added, and a vacation day subtracted.
Is there a problem with time outs, i have a few games, that should have timed out 2 hours ago, or has this got somehting to do with the clock being wrong earlier.
SafariGal: Don't worry, not all registrations are from different users. There are definitely issues regarding accuracy on that point. The amount of active users advertised as contributing to this site is quite inaccurate. A lot of members are very similar to Varol53. They try it out and bail because they don't want to wait so long to find an opponent to make a move.
I had to check on the 44444th person to register (assuming all registrations are different users) and unfortunately that person Varol53 Varol53 is lsited as never logged in That is sort of anti climactic. Maybe the number can be put up as a prize of some kind and given to the winner (eek multi nick)
Oceans Apart: it does. the only move that should have used autopass was your 11th move although you might not have noticed it since your opponent passed both his/her 11th and 12th moves. The reason that autopass is not used is because theoretically you can still double even if you cannot move. There was absolutely no reason for your opponent to do it in that game, but in some games, it can happen.
