Brian1971: I agree - I think the current 30 days is too long (and the hacked 255 days is way too much, and that needs to be deleted now).

5 days extra is long enough. That is at that time, if the tournament creator needs more time, it is simple enough to just change the start date to allow more time.

But until Fencer does something about it, the small fix would be if you are looking for new tournaments - there is a filter above the tournaments to look for tournaments created in the last X days.

(but I and others all think that 30 days is way too much. 5 is perfect - maybe 7 the limit on public tournaments to give an extra week.... with maybe 30 for private fellowship tournaments. That would be my suggestion.)

I have an issue in the way tournament deadlines are set up. I used to se up lots of tournaments but have quit. the reason being I am tired of the way some people set up a deadline for sign ups then have this lengthy extension for more signups. I feel if you set a deadline that should be it. If not enough people sign up then too bad. I feel it is unfair for newer tournaments to be buried 2 or 3 pages down the line behind tournaments which have weeks of extension time beyond the deadline they set up. I looked for new tournaments and I had to get down at least halfway on to page 2 of the tournament list to find a newer one which deadline hadnt yet passed. I feel if Fencer does not change the way time deadlines are set up for tournaments it will make people less likely to sign up for tournaments. If you want extensions that is fine but lets make it more reasonable like 3-5 days past the set deadline. Thanks.

Inside the top 10% any type Backgammon player (Back, Nack, Crowded, Race, Hyper, Anti, Cloning Backgammon, Grasshopper), is eligible to join to all other games in this Tournaments before the begin time. March 23trd, 2008).

Tournament type: one match for each two players
Maximum number of players per section: 20
Final match type for two players section: 5 points match with doubling cube
Time control: Time: 3 days, Bonus: 3 hours, Limit: 9 days, no days off (red signed)

(That means after beginning you have 3 days (72 hours) for your first move. Per your another move, you'll have 3 hours bonus for your other move time. 9 days is limit time for the opponents, after the move of other side.)

Brf's St Patty's Day Tourney 2007 has finished! Just in Time for - Brf's St. Patty's Day Tourney 2008
I will be offering 50$ US to the winner, if you like pente please consider joining it's open to everyone!
