Mousetrap: I have just heard a funny little story with my dads horse le Duke, he was falling off and he shouted to the other jockey on the horse next to him, to push him back on, he did, bt he fell off the other side LOL
"Snoopy": I have no doubt horses have been shot this year in other races before this one. I don,t know about this one. It can happen in any race I,m afraid.

Oceans Apart: The first time I ever went to the Grand nat it was the year Little Polvier won. I had the first 3 horses in the right order on a trio and I won about 55 quid. Unfortunately it was a combination bet and if I had just done a straight trio I would have won £3000. I have never done it since lol! But I have been 4 times.
Oceans Apart: I had silver Birch Sitting in our local club with George the 'Bookie' as we call him even though he is a postman LOL i had already backed my 3 horses, but just before the race went off reading through the racing paper a guy mentioned Silver Birch as an e/w bet, so i had a 1 e/w on him with George OK its only 43 pound, but it was a huge profit..........out for a beer today me think
World Cup winner Alan Ball has died of a heart attack at the age of 61.

He also managed seven clubs over a 19-year period, including two spells with Portsmouth as well as Southampton and Manchester City.
Ball was awarded an MBE in 2000 for his services to football.
He is the second member of the side that beat West Germany 4-2 at Wembley to die. Captain Bobby Moore died of cancer in 1993.

Once again i'm smashed by the intelelect of a great manager called Sir Ferguson with his tactics on tonight's game. The man once again made history... How can a team with so many stars, make a lousy game? The answer is wrong players, wrong tactic and an absolutly lack of understanding of the game. Congratulations Mr. Ferguson
Oceans Apart: That will not help Reading's chances of getting into Europe And look at Liverpool after there great game to knock Chelsea out of the Champions league this week.

WELL DONE to Lewis Hamilton on winning the Canadian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian GP, in Montreal, today, taking his maiden Grand Prix victory for McLaren-Mercedes in only his sixth start(One first, two seconds & three third places now, not bad eh). Nick Heidfeld finished second in the BMW-Sauber, while Alexander Wurz took third place in his Williams-Toyota.
Heikki Kovalainen in the Renault was fourth, Kimi Raikkonen in the Ferrari was fifth, Takuma Sato in the Super Aguri-Honda was sixth, Fernando Alonso in the second McLaren-Mercedes was seventh and Ralf Schumacher in the Toyota took the final point.
Rosert Kubica has been taken to the L'Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal in the downtown area for tests following his enormous crash in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Polish driver is reported to have a broken leg, but is conscious and talking. Kubica hit the wall at high speed (160+) on lap 27 while he was fighting for 13th place with Jarno Trulli. The collosal impact, on the right side of the track in the fast left-hander before the hairpin, catapulted the car back across the track , coming to rest on its side at the hairpin. He was extracted from the car eight minutes after the crash.
