Meanwhile, sign-ups have begun for the Brotherly Love duo. This is two separate tournaments, one for beginners (BKR under 2000 or unrated), and one for advanced players (BKR 2000 and up, no unrated players), and include all games. 1. This time there's a max BKR of 1500 so no need to worry about getting pelted by the big guys. 31. December 2003, 04:19:29 Just for laughs, I counted my running tournaments, 125 :) 31. December 2003, 04:04:16 I the first game of his I looked at (with you Blue) he has until jan 27 to make his next move. Weekend days don't count so it's 21 days per move, only counting 5 days a week. That is the only down side of being a pawn, only one tournament at a time. If you ever decide to upgrade, that is no longer a problem. I have about 400 games going right now in at least 75 different tournaments. 31. I suggest next time you pick a competition with a shorter move time. 31. December 2003, 20:42:12 When a player who starts out unrated, but before the tournament starts - goes OVER the rating limit, they will STAY in the tournament by default.
Now what I do when I run (for example 1500 & under) tournaments, before the tournament actually starts, as tournament creator - I go and remove anyone who is then over the limit that was setup (unless it's not by much - like BKR 1505, etc...) but it is up to the tournament creator if they want them to stay or not. 30.
