The Zoo chess team desperately needs 2 more people to play in the fellowship tourney...your rating is not what matters, please peeps, come on and join the other animals in the Zoo's chess team...
Our Small Pente and Hyper Backgammon teams still have places open. So if you'd like to take part in the up coming Team Tournements then Join the SCRL fellowship.
The Sunshine Club needs one backgammon player and 2 froglet players for anyone out there interested in participating in the interfellowship tournaments set to commence in 2 days!!
The limit of teams per section is 8 in any tournament. I think it´d be interesting playing tournaments with 9 or more teams. For example, this tournament:
started in October 2004, now it´s still in the first round and probably it´ll finish in 2006. I think this tournament would had been more interesting with only one section with the nine teams because the first round was won clearly by Untouchables team and Blizzars team. I think a very long tournament as this, loses its interest because in the first round strong players play againts a weak opponnets and the decisive match will start 9-12 months later.
Would you prefer only one round in the next tournament "Châteauneuf du Pape"? Is it possible?
fungame: I wanted to create a tournament with 2 games, Froglet and Ant Froglet. Whatever I try, the result is always a tournament with ALL games. Some nasty bug there or can someone help?
The solution requires some Quantum Mechanics knowledge. First, matter and anti-matter will annihilate one another if present in equal mass equivalences, producing a fantastic release of energy (see E = MC squared).
When you combine "Froglet" with "Anti-froglet", the subsequent energy release creates what is known as an Einstein-Rosen bridge (also known as a wormhole.) Under the right conditions, this may spawn a "white hole" the opposite of the well known infinite gravity well ("black hole"). As a black hole destroys matter, a white hole releases matter (and energy) back into the universe.
So, your froglet/anti-froglet pair produced this extra mass, and they came out as additional games that you did not specify.
Fencer: yes i agree Fencer.I;am here to play games and enjoy myself.Try to help support your site with prize Tournament as i can afford to do.This site is the best one on the internet. Its to bad there will always be ppl trying to cause problems for others that enjoy life its self.
fungame: Because I have lots of other work to do, instead of reading discussion boards 24 hours a day. Seems very logical to me, if I should use your words.
Fencer: AND this site is not reliable either Fencer. As for not entering Tournaments. That is everyones chose.Because that is the reason i don,t enter theres.
Fencer: OK, then why did you not answer Pedro's question before, who will be the winner regarding to current tournament definition, in case the creator won't make any interceptions.
fungame: No. The general rule is that the tournament winner gets the prize. If the creator wants to award someone else, he must have a good reason for it, otherwise it's rejected by me.
Moreover, since the participating in prize tournaments is free [no entry fees] and the prizes are fully covered by the creators, it's their right to specify the additional rules. They get nothing out of it.
Fencer: So you mean in prize tournaments you always contact the creator and ask him who won the prize? And he can name a player who ended up in last place? Doesn't seem very logical for me.
What's the problem?
A tournament creator has a right to set additional rules for his tournament. And anybody else has a right to say "okay, he is not reliable, I won't participate in his tournaments anymore".
Pedro Martínez: I wonder why Fencer doesnt answer. He already owns the prize. But perhaps he wants to consult the creator after the tournament is finished. Though in my opinion Fencer should have clear informations here before the start of tourny.

BANNED PLAYER
#1 Pedro Martinez
So its a new ballgame
I am taking this serious already. I want to know what does it mean to be a "BANNED PLAYER" and why I am a "BANNED PLAYER". And I want some answers. I am definitely planning to win this tourney and I want to be assured that in such case, I will be given the prize. This is now a question not only for THE HIT MAN but also for Fencer. Besides, I still want to know what does it take to win this tournament.
I tried something similar before, but it didnt work, I selected in the upper combo 'Froglet" and down there both 'Froglet' and 'Anti froglet'. But may be the problem was caused by other thing, I just deleted a tournament with same name before, may be it takes a while until it is confirmed so this way it was only revived with previous configuration.
Edit: I see I was wrong. It worked, so may be the problem was the first tourny wasnt deleted because one player joined already and I always just returned to the first undeleted one without seeing any change.
Or it wasn't deleted because there are four check boxes left to the delete button, and I never touched those before.
Fencer: yes, the override feature would be logical I think
fungame: .... so what you need to do is the combo box on the top, choose one game (Froglet), then in the checkboxes at the bottom - pick the other games you want to add to the tournament (anti-froglet)
... if you leave "all games" in the top combo box, it will create all games tournament - no mater what is marked below.
fungame: You probably use the checkboxes below the main form, don't you? If you want to create a single game tournament, you must set it in the combo box at the top of the form. The checkboxes are used only to specify additional games but don't override the "all games" value.
I am clueless. I wanted to create a tournament with 2 games, Froglet and Ant Froglet. Whatever I try, the result is always a tournament with ALL games. Some nasty bug there or can someone help?
BTW, if some pawns would like to have some tournament, feel free to contact me and I can create it for you!
