MadMonkey: The variant where the player who can't play takes all the remaining stones is supposed to be a lot more balanced, and just as easy to implement. Once this is done, I have then nothing about a random variant - which might in fact be less balanced

AbigailII: Any Mancala type games would be great, but this version is far more balanced, trust me i have been playing it on BugCafe and it is nothing like playing with just 4 in each pot, each game is different every time (well up to about 4,096 if my maths is right lol), and like i said it would be so easy to add to the site
MadMonkey: I rather have some other Mancala games that are more balanced. There are hundreds of mancala variants (which, unlike the hundreds of chess variants that were invented just for the sake of inventing a chess variant, are played regularly) many of them not giving a strong advantage to any side.
A simple game request, in fact probably 1 or 2 lines of code to change and a totally different and HARDER game
I would not normally borrow a game from another site, but BugCafe have introduced Mancala now and they probably got it from here so how about we take one of there ideas
Could we have Random Mancala please Fencer
Both players start with the same 24 stones BUT rather than distributed 4 in each pot at the start, they are placed randomly over the 6 pots
Not only harder, but is less of an advantage for white
Puckish: For me inposible to make a counter. They are extremely easy to make but you need to have access to the server and I unfortuently do not work for BK.
mctrivia: LOL, you need your own feature request page!!!
I was wonder how difficult it would be for you to make a counter to count the amount of times an interview is read?(or at least how many times it is viewed or opened) oh, and by how many unique users?
mctrivia: Yes, i want to know how many games i have actually Won, Lost & Drawn, without including games that finished by timeout (default as you put it)
Fencer: i think he wants to know how many games he won. tied, lost, and timed out on. Seperating lost by defeat and lost bu default. I like extra stats and think just adding number of time outs but not subtracting them from losts would work great. People can't lower there lost number by timing out insteead of loosing and people that don't try o manipulate can do the simple subtraction themselves.
Fencer: Could you write a little sub-routine, so when we goto page 1 of our profile (Finished games) that shows all our completed games wins, losses, draws, BKRs, ratings etc.... we could click on somewhere that would just display the same set of results for actual games completed properly
In other words DO NOT count timed out games
I am quite interested in my own of course as i know that twice at least over the years, i have had hundreds of games time out on me as i had no connection. I am sure it could be useful for everyone, to see how there actual results on proper finished games looked like, without the effect of timed out ones

Fencer: Do us all a favor please, for Christmas, use the poll system to ask people about auto pass or whatever you want to call it!
Since I am becoming famous for leaping to conclusions.... I will make more and say that backgammon is one of the most popular games on this site?
My bet is that if you make a poll and ask people who play one of the most played games here if they want a better more acceptable form of auto pass, then you will find "some kind of majority" that you mentioned
Eriisa: I have actually created an auto accept system for my AI player but see no reason to make this public as it really is not useful. For now real time chat is what I am working on
Fencer: All I see on the settings page are options to position banner ads. However, the poker add seems to be text only. I'm not getting any banner ads, but the poker ad shows up on 'http://brainking.com/en/Tournaments'.
Puckish: I love it when someone spreads catastrophic prophecies about BrainKing and mentions some kind of a majority. It always makes my day. It would be too boring to have only users with a positive thinking, we need unsatisfied members as well. A balance means a stability.
nametoolongtofi: You should be able to disable them at the Settings page but I might have forgotten about some of them. Can you give me the pages where you cannot turn them off?
i just have too many games - why cant there be an automated program that makes moves for me - its such a waste of my time to have to log in and make moves.... maybe i can also get an auto-accept challenge feature - and an auto-message maker - that way - i dont have to log in at all anymore!!!!
Eriisa: yes but mine for gamon currently only does if they lose the first die. I am working on having it calculate every possible combination and see if they result in the same ending though witch would make it do a lot more.
pgt: I think this is a subject about ready to boil over..... Something will either be done, and fairly soon, or the lack of action and attention to a majority of paying users will begin to take a negative toll on this game playing web site, if it hasnt already begun to.
I know this has been raised before, but does anybody have any idea if (whether) there is a plan to implement a proper workable autopass capability for gammon-type games, including cubed games. It seems to me that this has been a part of the feature requests for some years now.

Live chat. You can steal my code from mctrivia.com/autoplayer/login.php and make these boards autoupdate using ajax.
Create subroutine that returns array of all new messages since last requested use ajax to return this from server in java script add the new data to the begining of the current chat page.
Would speed chatting up a lot and reduce bandwidth because only new messages are sent not the entire page.

Jim Dandy: my system is a working product and has currently made 45000 moves for people on this site. Backgamon is not played to often by it because I have yet to write code to check for more advanced automove siteuations. I solve the chat problem by never playing if the opponent writes a note.

Puckish: You're right, other than the sense of power it affords, the ever present doubling option should always be the elephant in the room just waiting to get busy with it,so to speak
