awesome: excellent question,it may depend on the age of the person.I would probably pick 69-74,but that may be splitting hairs. This is an example from that era,and yes,her mention of God's hockey team (THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS) did influence my selection.
TexasToest: I've always felt that I'll have entered the generation gap once I don't understand what the kids are listening to.I remember making fun of my elders when they'd harken to the olden days of music, their record collections frozen on a specific date.I hope I never become so detached from the present music scene that I miss (or ignore) true genius.
Ewe: Not a bad tune, shall we have Newton administer your required spanking for prolonged absence? ...............I still don't understand why this guy isn't huge
TexasToest: Yeah,Devendra Banhart reminds me of very early T REX,prior to going electric,.............my second selection was a combo of Python and Hawkwind, kinda trippy.
This tune was a fave from 1999,especially the chorus
MadMonkey: a dj back in the 80's,cool,so was I,6 hours a night 5 days a week with a bunch of regulars, that's alot of music to fill.I remember playing this song,it was the numero uno dance tune at the time, but not a soul danced LOL,a finicky crowd
awesome: That was,...well...awsome,love The Nuge!..........while we're on the topic, this is my fave tune of his,it's about respect! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3J-XYnZHfU
TexasToest: Ewe: I try and have appropriate stuff on hand for all occassions
Emne: This band was always in the shadow of,and compared to Lynyrd Skynyrd
Logically I should feature a video of thenm in their prime, but I consider this to be a video of them at their best.Danny Joe Brown (the singer) had a stroke the year prior to this,he had also had the leave the band a varios times over the years due to diabetes.Sadly Danny Joe passed a few years ago,but if the love in this room doesn't touch you,you aint got a pulse.
Emne: Re: Almost Time To Say "Good Riddance" To "2007" :)
TexasToest: Michael Shenker might be the most underrated guitarist in rock, those crowd shots always make me nervous, there always seems to be one woman determined to expose Gods work. This song always touches me,and the photos are beautiful
