Emne: Re: What's a saturday morning without THE CLASH?
TexasToest: Well maybe I clashed with them at one time I remember walking through Manchester years ago and seeing all these kids dressed as punks in Market Street. That was the fist time I ever seen anyone with muliticoloured hair and chains and dressed in leathers. There was a crowd of them alll sat down quitely just enjoying passing the time of day.
Emne: Re: What's a saturday morning without THE CLASH?
Mousetrap: I still kick myself for not bidding on an a guitar that was autographed by all the original band members. It was available at an auction on a cruise I was on,and that was prior to Joe Strummers passing
TexasToest: I'm not sure, the link was actually sent to me by a business associate. They really seem to be really influenced by Iggy Pop during his Stooges period.
That was interesting, JD. Was he barefoot? I have a friend, she turns 51 Sunday, who until last year played lead guitar in an all-mom grunge band. I learned to accept it after following her around some. It is a totally different style from what I usually listen to too, Riissy. I have a CD of theirs, I should get one for you. The songs are great, one of them being, "Pick Up Your Socks." Typical mom issues in a totally different package.
Emne: Re: Canada imported grunge to Seattle.Few are aware of that or this band
Jim Dandy: Gotta admit, that is outside the scope of what I listen to! Some interesting guitar work, but I dunno about the 2 minutes of repeating the same line over and over.
Thanks for posting it. I did learn something new about where grunge came from.
Eriisa: I still have mine but I transfered them all onto one cd via mp3. Opps I meant I transfered all my single cds onto mp3 and got rid of them but kept all my 45s.
Emne: Re: While I'm thinking of it....Re rap and hearing impaired.....
Eriisa: Lmbo! I agree, too many videos posted kill the converstation on this board. I would much rather read about something that meant something to people rather than just ccp and videos. For instance rather than all that mud which I would rather not look at how about a little nostaligia. This was the first record my nanna ever bought me. Enjoy! I know I will! It is Bonny M with Rivers of Babylon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm1g8FFRArc
I prefer the links too. They give you a lot more info about the videos, you can check other videos the user have posted, read peoples comments and leave your own comments watch full screen...........
I just wanted to mention, that the page takes a lot longer to load when there has been a lot of videos posted. Please keep this in mind when you are embedding videos.
It might be a good idea to embed one, and just post the links to others. And don't forget to tell us about them, or what you like about them!
Mousetrap: One of my girlfriends is hearing impaired, She plays Rap music because she can feel the beat.
LOL, funny thing was she could not make out the words, and got in trouble at work for playing some of the .. uh... foul-mouthed ones. She had no idea and was really embarrassed when she found out.
Nirvana: I like to watch them on the tv because at least I can use the subtitles and understand what they are saying lmbo! I only like certain bands though. Most of them just sound like noise to me. I liked Queen with Freddie. That one Jules posted further down too I like. Something that at least sounds and feels like music lmbo!
Mousetrap: You can't be sure of the weather, no matter where you go, can you? but I enjoyed the ones I went to. I'd rather see live bands than videos, and sometimes I got to meet some of the players, always worth doing!
