Teema: Re: A scary jam from Be Bop Deluxe circa 77,don't worry,I'll get with the program *1162*
Jim Dandy: More! More! You're with the program, don't stop. I looked up that delicious little lead guitar player. He's done some other things. Interesting guy, trained in the arts. He knows what he's doing, for sure!
TexasToest: just been chatting to a couple of friends about the Led Zep gig & apparently it sold out in less than an hour, phone lines were jammed! Theres some tickets going on eBay for between £700 & £1200!!! (double that figure for US $)
Jim Dandy: You are probably right about that. Jimmie Rodgers died in 1933, Bob Wills was 30, and just starting to be noticed. ank Williams ws 10. I'd agree he's the father of country music.
TexasToest: They recount the actual death scene very early in the book,it seemed to make the end all the more difficult for this reader. He was depicted scars and all,he was a very real human being.
Jim Dandy: Evidently. I've learned more about him since you've been reading that book than I ever knew. I'm going to look for that book as soon as I can.
Jim Dandy: Awwww. That would be so cool! Hey, my aunt sent a magnifying glass that is making my reading a lot easier. So, I could read the book without a struggle.
For those who don't know, I have a couple cataracts that need to come out, and insurance won't pay for them until June. Meanwhile reading is very difficult, and I'm finding it hard to work. Tonight, though, I got copies of emails my attorney friend is sending around to certain benevolent organizations pleading my case. I kind of had to have a little tear or two over that.
Teema: Re: A buddy turned me onto this band and cd back in 1995,I loved it!
rod03801: yup, going commercial sometimes leads to short term gain, but in their case they lost both their identity and after a short while their audience, what a shame,I hope the cash from "FLY" was worth it.
I didn't mind it,until it was played to death, but there was no turning back for them, they became very soft, sold a bunch or records, and then nobody cared anymore
Jim Dandy: I'd heard that song. I don't know where though, unless it was JACK-FM. It's alright, has a good rhythm, it's easy to dance to. But, you're right, they really sold out!
TexasToest: Love Delbert McClinton...he did a song just a few years ago that was so good. Of course, now I can't even remember the title. Find some more of his videos for us Toesty!!
Dolittle: Your wish is my command. Yeah, ole Delbert is somebody to be proud of. He's a desert rat, born in Lubbock.
I started to post this one last night, but did the other one instead. Same concert, in Austin. That sax player will knock your socks off. I like this one, because Delbert really shines on the cow bell. Because of the cow bell, I'm dedicating it to Jim Dandy.
Teema: this west coast-east coast time zone zinger has me in its clutches
I finished an interesting Sabbath book while on vacation, sure,I could go the expected route,but...............................................................................http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5HXSlfbXsY
Hey, y'all, I can't see embedded files, and evidently, I can't click on the big blank space either. My video card went down, and I had to swap out computers for a Win98 machine with 32 meg ram. What an insult! It's going to be this way for a while too, since I number myself among the unemployed. So, if you wouldn't mind humming the tunes for me, I'd be very appreciative.
Mousetrap, I didn't go anywhere, the Dandy did. I've been around, just kind of ... incognito.
Jim Dandy: No, I can't view YouTube videos for lack of the latest Adobe Flash player. And, with Win98, I can't install it either. I may have to step down as mod until I get a video card. §:(
