And how about transfering brains like membership, after winning them in action points contest? Will it be possible or not. I would like to have it but probably there would be too much players abusing this system with second accounts fitting top50 to get those points, so probably there won't be possibility to transfer them. (btw I won 100 brains!) : )

Fencer: I knew where they was last month (as i have already told you )but i couldnt get them with my account ,i tried with more than one pc aswell even my sons pc , then my son would try after me in the exact same place i tried and he would get them ok ....which shows i knew where it was and that my id wont work with the secret points for some reason .

so i mightt as well not even waste my time anymore trying ;( , but its unfair that i cant join in the fun of the chase .

Walter Montego: The answer is in the column name.
The little square thing is there if the person is online. Why some people have it for one game but not another, is because their online status changed.

Modified by Walter Montego (1. September 2006, 01:24:03)
While I was checking the rankings of the Dark Chess ratings list I noticed a little square thing after some player's handles. When I hover the cursor over it, it will let my click it and send me to the game invitation for that player. What I don't understand is why some people have this after their handle and most people don't. Or if it looks the same for a different person viewing the same page. Or why some people have it for one game, but don't have it for a different game. I looked around the site for an answer, but I wasn't able to find out what the deal is. Is this something I can turn off or on? Does it involve the Friend's list? Where can I read about it on the information or FAQ page as I didn't find it in either place.

By the way, the "Help" page is a real nice layout. It's too bad there's no information there! Least ways on the links I clicked on I got most blank pages and no help.

Question for whomever might know - I've got a couple "open tournaments" on my tournament page in my profile that are long over and done with but still listed as open - can I get rid of them somehow since they didn't go on their own? Gracias

Subject: Transferring Brains
I dont think we should be given the option to transfer brains. This would be far too unfair to Fencer and the site allowing far to many "free" account for nothing. I have always been a firm believer in earning your own food etc and I feel the sane should apply to brains. If you can personally accumulate enough for a free membership or the like, that is great!!! But until you do, you should have to keep accumulating. This is the best way to benefit Brainking by ensuring the maximum number of people are out there trying to bring new members to the site etc.

Subject: Re: Message Box
It is very nice to have a third mailbox, but those users always ask for more... What would be of even greater help for me is a fourth mailbox where all non-personal messages would automatically go (notification of finished games, tournaments, etc.). It is a very repetitive task for me to delete all of them in order to keep only personal messages in my inbox.
(Especially annoying when playing match backgammon, where every single game generates a message)

nightmagic: I have no idea what you are on about. Unless you are referring to the tournament board which has nothing to do with the new messages box system or this board. If I did not know better, I would think you were trying to cause an argument. But that could not happen on these boards as there are too many moderators eager to delete post lol.
As far as I am concerned the new Message box system works for me.

Subject: Message box - which are unread?
Fencer: Lol. Thank you. I'm getting more out of requests here than I ever did on the Features Requests board! Just one extra tweak, if I may. Could the unread ones have a different background or be in bold, rather than using italic as the indicator, please? Italics is rather too subtle for those with high-resolution monitors and those with poorer eyesight, especially as we now have the option to have an unread message some way down the page or even on a different page.

Subject: Message box - mark as read
Fencer: I guess that's a pretty handy one for people who don't read their messages! ;o), but far more useful is to be able to mark something that's been read as unread so that if you don't have time to reply it won't get forgotten or lost. Is that a small enough tweak that it could go online before the major work?
