Subject: Another Question????
I have been playing the dice games. I am getting 0's where I don't place them. They are coming right in the beginning of my games. No reason not to fill a space. I look at each game before I send it. Is anyone having this problem? This has just happened in the last
few weeks. I know that I place 0's when no other move can be made...but this is not that type of move. I just had this happen on my 5th game.
Thanks.. if anyone can help me in this.

Subject: Re: Another Question????
Pbarb2: Post a bug in the bug tracker with links to specific games and move numbers. Then Fencer may take a closer look.

Do you usually click on it before the page is completely loaded? And do you usually check the page before submiting the move to make sure that it was played where you intended it to? Sometimes, elements in the page may shift position while the page is being loaded, and you can click on one place that suddenly becomes some place else, and you end up making a move you didn't intend to. That's why you should always check the move before actually submiting.
Not sure if this is your case, but it's a frequent situation forsome users...

pauloaguia: I always check my games before I send it as I posted in my message. I am on webtv so at first I thought it was maybe something with that... but since it happened about 5 times I got to wondering why? I don't have the games, becauseI played them. When I get another one I will report it there.
Thanks. You too Maxxina.

Subject: Smiley settings.
I've a suggestion for smiley settings. Currently, the options are either smileys or numbers. My proposal is a three state switch: smileys, numbers, and no smileys. The latter would neither show smileys, nor numbers.

Oh, and a setting "ignore posts with more smileys than words" would be great as well.

AbigailII: About your last option: sometimes Fencer (and others) answers requests with just a smile, you may miss important information if you hide those posts...

pauloaguia: Yes, and? It's my choice, isn't it? If people are currently answering post with a silly blinking smiley (or worse, answering with a dozen of them), do you really think I'm going to spend a millisecond in trying to figure out what they mean?

If one can't be bothered to use words in a post, I can't be bothered to read them.

AbigailII:  I'm interested to know whether you adopt the same approach to your interactions with people off the web -- do you ignore body language, facial expression, tone of voice, etc.?  I believe smileys are intended to substitute for those nonverbal cues that convey so much of our meaning (as much as 90%, according to some authorities).  I'm sure most people would agree that a great deal of information can be conveyed by a wink!

alanback: Considering the ration of smileys vs words some people use, yes, I do ignore people in real live who would act the same as they do here with smileys.

In fact, if people acted the same way outside of the web as they do here, half of them would be locked up.

if it's something real bad, you might send a PM to Fencer

Kunoichi_Power: Are you certain it is a bug and not a different rule brainking uses compared to one you may know elsewhere.
It would be a shock if there was any serious bug in any game here at present(maybe a small one not fixed yet), they have all been tested thoroughly.
What type of game is it in ?

Subject: Re:
Oceans Apart: Lets wait until Fencer has a chance to fix it. Most people are OK with it, and will only test it with unrated games and such - but there are a few on this site who will do anything to gain rating points - which some would call cheating, but they would probable say something like "Well the system allowed me to do it so it must be OK" or something like that. So sometimes it takes Fencer a little bit to find the problem and fix it.

I am sure Fencer could go ahead an reverse games in which people would have used it - but that would be a lot of work to do, so it might be better to not frankly tell it on BK board.

Anyone had this happen to them?
When you go to your dice poker game the green background area indicating what you need to roll is no longer green but is now a white background like the rest of the board. Don't know if there is something that has to be checked to make this feature work or if its a glitch. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a button to click to see my rating graph for Behemoth Chess but there is no graph. Does this have anything to do with the fact that I only have 4 completed games?

nodnarbo: It might have to do with 3 of the games have under 4 moves - so may not "count" towards the rating - even though you have a rating. So probable just one of the "loop holes" in the coding. Probable will take a few more games before the graph shows up.

Does anybody else have the same problem?
Every time I'm logging into the site it switches to key mode, and I have to change the xx to se or en, or whatever language code.  It's also independent of which browser I'm using.
I've cleared the cash and all too.

Does anyone have a clue to what's wrong !?

Subject: Re: Key mode
basplund: When you click "Key Mode" your default language is set to xx just like when you click on a flag. Since that setting is stored on the server, the next time you login you'll be in KeyMode.
The sure way to get out of it is by clicking on a flag, to change your default language again.

Because of that, whenever I need to go to key mode, I simply type in the xx at the address bar, so it doesn't get saved, since in Simple Mode the flags are invisible.
