really not easy to explain - the L and the R cAn have sound like vowels in
slavonic languages ... often it's sufficient to imagine a faint, volatile 'ih'-phonem
after them consonants - "vlick" with a swinging L approaches fairly well, then ~*~

Vlk? It's easy. You must say "VL" just like the end of "travel" or "battle" etc. and add a "k" immediately. Not "k" like "key", just "k".
Hey, it's not easy to explain :-)

get problems with longer, or just highly structured sentences ... :)
if it's just for translating from your native language, you might get better
results by rearranging or, translating subordinate clauses one by one ... ~*~

Any translation to czech on world site . Not czech site are imho very funny :)

Hmmm, okay. I followed danoschek's link and tried to use that site to translate the whole "Bug tracker" page from Czech to English. Since most of that page was in English to begin with, the translation was entertaining. The Czech parts were translated strangely (Nefunguje scheme her acts?hellen, které stave off solely to mewed), and the English parts translated back into English included things like changing "BIG BAD WOLF" into "BIG BAD Tungsten." And "Date" became "Woodpecker"! Maybe this sort of thing does belong on the joke board. :)

I know it would be more work for someone, but it sure would be nice if somehow us English only users could read the bugs posted in Czech - just so we don't report the same but multiply times.

In my book, lower than 1. On a scale of 10, it would be medium.

i get those messages about different fonts on other sites ...but never had them here lol , so i must be the odd one out ;)

27. July 2004, 07:12:20
coan.net
As a side note, when I was getting those messages about different fonts, it was way before the google ads were placed here. One of the things I guessed was that somwhere in a post, or something, someone tried to post a special character that took those types of fonts to read - but that was only a guess.

Hmmmm, if I remove the pawn, she leaves the team, hey? You know I figured that out last week - but I've been out of town. My mind went blank. Thank goodness for friends.

Fencer, I've got another pawn stuck as captain of a team on A Power House. Soon, we'll have all this cleaned up, but could you please remove her? It's scampy on the Five In Line team. We'd like to enter the team tournament, but....you know.

[edit to avoid duplicate posts] I was getting those language thingies last week before I disappeared to Austin for 3 days. I'm very happy I'm not the only one. I seriously doubt you have a virus, Cindy. The Goggle ads being at fault appeals to me - I just thought it was a bug that Fencer would eventually fix.

Yes, I get those install boxes, usually for Chinese. I just ignore them; they seem to have gone away for now. It's not just brainking.com though... seems I've gotten them elsewhere, too. It only happens occasionally.

the yahoo companion over the google toolbar, it offers a popup-blocker
as well - for germany the gmx-toolbar seems to be 1st choice, i.e. if must use Internet Explorer anyway. On Mozilla (Netscape minus AOL) you got your personal toolbars. ~*~
