either way, its a damn waste of time for 18 bucks LOL
we should be spending our time on something more worthwhile.
1. I have a paint drying night coming up soon, everyone is invited to watch.
2. Replays of Geoffrey Boycott in his prime

I think the tournament is 5 days per move right?
Considering many who joined are very very slow players, a tourney that size may take upwards of a year.
I suggest to all pawns not to join such a long tourney as you will not be able to join any other tournaments and there will be no result for well over 1 year guaranteed

Subject: New Question for Fencer
Before, a Pawn/Knight needed 5 spaces free for any tournament (10 for the 2-game tournaments).

Is that still the same? Or has it been changed to depend on how many games are started?

Subject: Questions and answers
It is justmy point of view. However since many people have the same sort of questions about the new version of Brainking. It would be wise to post concerns here as then Fencer can answer many people with one posting instead of trying to private message everyone. Liquid and Fencer both work other jobs, have families and upkeep this site. Please help them being patient and understanding. The more private messages they have to respond to the less time they have to work out the bugs on the site. So in my view the best way to get an answer to a question is to make a posting on a board. Also if other members know the answer they can aid Fencer and Liquid by answering on their behalf which also frees up some time for them. Again it is just my point of view..

Why all this noice about login. I dont type anything, i just click "login" when my name and password has "popped up".
If you have 50 games to play and have to click "submit" 50 times cant you click "login" once? :)

Subject: Re: LOGIN
I would encourage you to give a more wait and see approach. Fencer works a fulltime job as well as keeping up this site and making time for his family. THings have been busy with the whole switchover. It has been said in one of the discussion boards that it was done to give player accounts more security. By having players login they are more protected against hacking situation. There must be a threat of someone wanting to hack into player accounts or they would not have it set up this way. Please give the whole thing some time.

Subject: re: LOGIN
Well with the recent conversion, and other bugs - they are probable busy.

Login situation - are you talking about the no auto-login situation. Well you can stay with your option to leave, get a browser which has a password manager, or change your password that is something easy to type in each time.

Subject: LOGIN
I'm deleting my account at Brainking.com. I sent a message to BRAINKING about the login situation and received "no response." I would of accepted any response.

There is no excuse for not maintaining a line of communication with paid members. Just think, what is this policy of ignoring paid member messages? It should speak volumes.

I'm deleting my account. Should you?

Another small bug? When you search the player list, whatever name you type in, it tells you there is '1 registered player' - even though there could be 3 pages showing of that name!

I believe that those types of messages were either invites to fellowships, or games which no longer exist - or something like that.

I have a number of messages titled "fip 218" or "itt 12141" or "dg 342106|21 383", the numbers vary. the contents is empty.

Yea, I think that has to do with the known bug of the numbers next to the discussion boards - my message box number is up to 22 (no new)

In chess, when a pawn can only go one step forward, In BK 1.0 the move would be made automatically but in here I had to select the square myself. Lazy, aren't I?

Very nice job guys, this new version kicks butt. Thanks for your hard work.

Is it my imagination or do players profiles also now load a lot quicker? Everything seems quicker for me tonight.

I will also edit the list below with anything else I think of (or someone else points out) - but again, that list is not everything. I think I remember Fencer telling me that he looked at every single page, and made changes on almost all of them. (And a lot of the code that we don't see.)

Yes, Fencer has done a good job. A few minor bug here and there, but nothing that is hurting game play!

Thanks BBW! I've been here on and off all day and you listed several things I had missed but will go check out! You have done a great job listing them! Just a suggestion??? But could a list like this be posted on maybe the brainkinginfo page or somewhere else so everyone will know to watch and take advantage of all of these new options? Just a thought : ) Thanks Fencer for doing an outstanding job with BK 2.0!!
