Subject: Question
If someone doesnt sign out, just shuts the window. How long does it take before they disapear from the "online" list? is there a general refresh etc? obviously if someone is online looking at same place it is refreshed as per their settings. So would it still go by that setting?

BBW, i think that sounds a better idea. Just in case anyone knows they are getting close to there membership expiring, and for some reason loses access to there (or any) PC or may have other personal or finance problems. A script that would register how long it was since there membership ran out, and if it was more than a month for example to then remove them from fellowships.

May I also suggest that game time be suspended for that weekend and maybe 2 or 3 days thereafter to compensate for any problems players may experience like they did in the first attempt to make the switch.

Is this going to happen this weekend? What time will the changeover begin? (GMT)

I was wondering since I use webtv and If I begin to have problems, I will know why and stay away for a few days till things work themselves out.

Subject: Removal of Pawns from Fellowship
The only thing I worry about is if a paid member is late to renew their membership lets say even just 1 day) - then if their account is removed from all the fellowships that they were in, they would have to go through the trouble of trying to get back into them all.

Not a big deal if you are in one or two fellowships......

Of course once a few weeks pass by, then that would be a good time to remove pawns. Maybe a script that can be ran every month or so to scan and remove pawns from fellowships would be good?

24. June 2004, 15:17:34

good idea but i need the shoes now :)

I got an idea Anders

Do a sponsor thingy to raise money for shoes.
Then use some of the money to renew and pocket the rest

24. June 2004, 14:59:27
Stevie
depends on how they feel about bare feet ;o)

24. June 2004, 14:56:06

MM: Yes, when a membership expires, the process should handle all related actions. If I don't forget to add it to the code, of course :-)

BerniceC, In my experience I've found that paying members who, for circumstances beyond their control, cannot afford to renew have made so many good friends in their time here that people are very willing to help out.

Subject: MadMonkey
that is a very good point :) and it maybe a bit too far advanced for the current management to handle :)
the "LETS RAISE MONEY FOR FENCER" thing which will go for at least 200years :) (jk) will show that them paying members who have paid and cant afford to do it again will lose out...another rip-off....get your money back :)

Fencer: I have just had a PM from a pawn about how they get into a fellowship (in fact i had another a while ago). I have explained that they can not, and the only reason they are there is they are ex paying members who's membership has expired.
Will BK 2.0 remove these pawn accounts from fellowships or will the Boses have to do it themselves ?
It is a good point as the person pointed out, it does seem to anyone new looking at fellowships that pawns certain pawns are allowed in fellowships.

Jason: In order to make your password secure, it is never e-mailed or shown to you [and nobody else]. Not even I know your password because all passwords are encrypted in the database and the encryption is asynchronous, it means that it's not possible to decrypt it.
When you request a password change [on Login Page], you'll be provided a URL containing a secret code. The URL points to a page which is temporarily created for you only and you can set a new password there. The secret code is always different and unique.

So I wonder who has tried to do that???
Obviously they cannot get into my account then :)

23. June 2004, 13:07:13

chattytea: It means that somebody used your e-mail address with the "forgot password" form on Login Page. But it causes no harm, the secret code is mailed to you only and until you use it, your password remains unchanged.
