Fencer this time out is not working for me. I've lost some good games. The ones sitting on me get more time added. Whats this all about?

THE HIT MAN - Have you went into setting to setup Auto vacations? Did they time out during a time you had setup for weekend or vacation? If neither of these, and your games run out of time - they will time out.

could someone please tell me how to sort the list of game types which i can chose from when i want to invite someone to a game ?

it just took me several minutes to invite to a game of small pente because i overlooked it in the list
(yes i should look better i know .. but sorting the list alphabetically or something else would work as well ;))

You cannot sort it. But it should be sorted at least by a game category. I'll look at it.

dont be in a rush though ... other things might be more important :)

As a Brian pawn... My games are at 19 going, 1 waiting... When I went into the Waiting game... It said that I was at my limit on games... Go Figure...

I see on your profile that you also play at Chessworld.net, IYT.com, Pente.net and Chessmaniacs.com.
Do these sites have limits on your number of games? I would have thought that all sites combined would give you plenty of games to play.
Other sites such as Pocket-Monkey.com give you unlimited games for free, although the site is far from as good as this in most areas, however, if your problem is not having enough games to play, well I think we have just solved that one for you :)

hmm .. the bkr formula was changed ?

i thought with a difference of more than 400 points nothing changed if the higher player won ?

but in a game of froglet with a friend i got :

Hrqls: old BKR = 2076, new BKR = 2077 (+1)
SandyH: old BKR = 1090, new BKR = 1089 (-1)

Chessworld allows only 5 games but the price is only 19$ US for 1 year membership... (IYT) Itsyourturn allows only 20 moves per day... Pente and Chessmaniacs are free sites and Pente 100 game limit chessmaniac has no limit... I will in about a year of playing every day is probably when I can afford my Rook Memebership... $50...

The BKR almost always changes, but sometimes the change is so small you will not see anything.

So in might have first been 2076.2, then 2076.5, then 2076.9, then the last win might have moved it to 2077.1 - which is why sometimes you get +1, and sometimes a +0. :-)

I would like to correct you on IYT. IT has a 25 move a day limit. You play up to 20 games as well on free membership.

A Rook membership here is about $20 for 6 months and about $35 for a year.

US maybe Ceridwen, but not for all countries. In Canadian funds it's much higher.

Unfortunately Dan these days there are far too many multi nicks for someone to go out on a limb and sponsor you I would imagine.
You also draw attention to yourself a little too much by losing your patience with your subtle hints and coming right out and blatantly asking people to sponsor you and pay for your membership.

I also noticed you chose to ignore one particular part of my previous post stating that at Pocket-Monkey there is free unlimited games and unlimited moves all day. Sure the site does not offer anything as good as this site, however, for someone who cant afford to pay, it is the perfect solution and also means you are never in need of a game due to the unlimited games on that site.

PLease do not take this personally as I am not accusing you of fraud. I just wish to point out why people would be hesitant to sponsor you.

I agree with LJ Fencer can not give everything for free,20 games and unlimited moves,with one tournament is a very kind gesture to the best website on the internet.

Fencer has specified the fee's in the how to pay page,people being members that long should know exactly what they are talking about,instead of throwing puns.

even though it looked like Dan was asking for someone to pay for his membership, he just sent me a pm thanking me and also making it clear that he does not want anyone to pay for him. In fact he said that he has paid for numerous people himself on other sites so I think that really sets everything straight.
Yes UE, I agree that what Fencer gives people for free already is very generous considering the site

For those interested, I have officially become the challenger of this year's Trax World Championship. This means that I will play the past world champion (Donald Bailey) in a best of 11 match, the winner becoming this year's World Champion.

The first of our match will be Saturday, October 23, 03:30 GMT. We will be playing the games live in the trax lobby. In order to watch the games, you must download (free) the lobby. It can be downloaded here. After installing the program (wherever you like), run the exe. The button to connect to the lobby is at the very bottom of the menu on the left. From there, you can type in whatever name you like and it should be self-explainatory from there. :-)

If you would just like to follow the results as they are played, they will be posted here as the games are completed.

Okay, the BKR graph and history generator is done and tested. Global BKR recalculation and graphs will be launched next week. And graphs will be accessible for paying members only.

What is a History generator? What kind of graphs are you going to be using? For each game or for all games... Just trying to get a better understanding of this site...

I worked as a housekeeper at a local hospital... Most jobs I have had, I used to make one mistake and was the fall guy for getting yelled out...
I also Have depression... I rarely go anywhere anymore for the fact that I might get yelled out.. It is very Stressfull for me... I play games on different sites... it helps relax and enjoy playing with nice people like you...
