Maybe I’ll see you in Goldtoken. I have some very active clubs there. Word, poker, chess and checkers of course. With lots of chess variants. And some others. If you are interested contact me there.

There are some problems there but plenty of games and players.

Subject: Sites
All sites have issues and problems. I don’t think any of them are perfect and we all choose the ones we want to patronise. This seems like it could be a great site. But just not very active. Thanks for the discussion everyone.

I was just looking around sites. And this site seems good. Just a bit inactive. Thanks everyone for the discussion.

I am involved mainly with the checkers and chess fraternity there and we seem to be doing ok. It has a very good turn based implementation of checkers there. The best I’ve seen. Especially with the Restriction and 11 man ballot. Also have a couple of other clubs as a sideline.

If you join Goldtoken let me know. I am kookaburra there and own a number of very active clubs. And also some clubs I assist with in chess com. I can help you. It is a bit tricky when you first join a site. We also have a system in Goldtoken where when new people join we arrange some games for them from some friendly people.

Crosseyed Mary: I didn’t mean to criticise. But I am in the Checkers and Russian checkers and both haven’t taken off. I don’t really like backgammon much and so far it has taken off. I am doing ok in them. Maybe people just play individual games here and clubs are not so important. That’s ok. People play what they like.

Maybe they could reduce the number required. But sounds like there is no development happening here.

Is this an unsupervised site?

Why don’t they choose team challenges with games that are popular. Who chooses the games?

You are only talking about 4 teams of 4 players. That isn’t many.

Why did the owner lose interest in this site?

I agree when you can’t get 4 teams of 4 players for a game. It isn’t very active. In Goldtoken I have a number of clubs and can get 40 checker players in a tournament. It is a good site here. Just not very active. And the clubs here don’t seem to do much.

Same with the ordinary checker one. Maybe I don’t play games that are popular here.

I was looking forward to the Russian Checker Team challenge and it didn’t start. It would appear at this site clubs do almost nothing and team challenges almost non existent. Is there any hope for this to improve????? I am looking to leave currently as this doesn’t seem like a very active site.
I am new here.
