Clandestine 1: I've worked it out with fencer. It can get split up among the team, I just need to send him the link when the tournament ends with instructions. Coan and I did so in the past with a team backgammon tournament..
we have several members who has mention a prize donation, including Rodney so for now we just need to plan what games, and we also are concerned about the time or length of the tournament. A Nackgammon 9 point will take several years, and I doubt anyone will want "no time off" but if your donating a prize, run it as you wish. Rodney, Ian and myself are just waiting for suggestions.
We could also offer several prize memberships in one tournament. Plus, Ive already spoke to fencer about a xmas pond tournament and that would end by the end of the year if played 2 day limit and we start it soon.
Ian, do you still want to keep the DEC gammon a 4 man team if we make it a prize tournament? Or shall we just fit in a separate xmas prize for the teams? I think using the betting cube with a backgammon would be nice. Maybe ask all the Bosses of the fellowships for input? Maybe the team captain can decide what to do with their 1 year rook membership.
beach: 9600 brains (prior to the cheating) would of cost 448 euros, or $520 USD. If you remember the rate was 6 euro for 150 brains, and shortly after fencer raised it to 7. But the reason he discontinued it wasn't for cheating. It was a feud with PayPal. The cheating came later on, and some of us still have those legal brains. The ones we bought. So fencer can still tell and still excepts memberships with brains, just very few.
rod03801: Brains use to cost 7 euro per 150 brains. So since fencer shut it down due to paypal trying to imply brainking was a gambling site, and paypal is always right, your wrong so he just ended it. Recently some has figured out how to just get as many brains you want just as Smiler said. So Fencer doesn't honor those brains unless they are credit from the past. You cant use brains acquired that way. The brain purchase for membership is not automatic and fencer has to approve.
Carnie: I agree Brainking is a superb site. Its not about the site, its the people. GT can be hard to navigate. I hated it at first but the energy among the players is bountiful. Most of the players I play daily at GT are current BK players or past players. I like it for the card games and cribbage and the variants of hangman.
Carnie: I too have moved to GT. I'm here for my 20 years of play and the friends I made. In fact clandey, BGBedlam, Beach and I have a club called the BK gang, and we offer free two month memberships for free to new members. So if you want to check it out for 2 months, ask any of us. At BK I only help keep the team games going, but as support dwindles down that wont be in operation soon. No more Ponds. The tournament board spammed, now porn spam, no fun here, but my friends are priceless at BK except for Geomomo.
Nothingness: Where it list a players bkr, it shows 100/4000 on the tournament sign up page. So, put 1400 in place of 100 and 1700 where you see 4000. Then only players between that bkr can accept your game. This is just to the left of the <=
Snoopy: She has many nics, people keep buying her memberships on the Pawn registry, then she signs up for hundreds of games and resigns. Its old, many here have complained but the same person is buying the memberships for all those nics and some of us have even ask her to stop buying her memberships but Fencer wont turn down the money as its income, and I'm sure he wont do much and also not much Rodney can do, but complain to her and nothing works and she knows it now. I have her blocked, she cant play games at IFC fellowship. Just play a few games with us there.
MrDelete: If its a brain tournament, on your home page click the "brains" link and it will show you all the brain tournys you entered, how many brains to enter such tournys and how many you won.
Good Luck :)FLR: The 5G speed is insane. I thought since your in NY you might have it. Great job francesco! btw, that is about 12.5 game moves every 60 seconds. 750 moves per hour.
Vinkel: That was a strange past move. I doubt you get a response, you might but Id ask Carl for a draw. Your BKR is near the same so it wont change on a draw.
To those playing brain tournaments, which entry fee is 50 brains is Fencer paying them out? In other words, some of the players have over 100,000 brains. Some players are 2 months old and have 10,000 brains. So with fencer not selling brains Im curious how they get them? With this being said, I dont want to use my "good" brains with those obtained illegal so I'm just curious if anyone has won a brain tournament and received their prize?
A player with Brain Rook membership level can use up to 35 vacation days a year. After some vacation days are used, it is possible (twice a year) to get some extra days (during the same year) if the membership is renewed by another year (or longer period) - 10 after the first renewal and 5 after the second one.
alexlee: Trying to be civil about GT. She knows how I feel. I knew Chad 20+ years ago when even fencer was at GT. I feel like Chad stole fencers idea of fellowships, as they call them "clubs". There is so many bugs in the club tournaments because its code is written so poorly. Its why I say you cant compare the two sites, but others will disagree with me. Gt is popular for many. its only my opinion.
Crosseyed Mary: I have the same 4 players on my teams. Mel is in one. But most are the same 4. They all have ask me to not list them in challenges. The 5 of us only help keep team games going. I only play team games, no others.
Bernice: No, I back out as I was going through a tough go. Its a shame, because fencer was going to stick around a full year for free. I had mctriva and another programmer from Greece to me help out, but honestly I didnt think I was going to be around another 12 months. Some thought his asking price was high, but it was fair. I had problems on my end it had nothing to do with greed.
Crosseyed Mary: Been cancer free two years now so hopefully I dont disappear lol. My friends knew what was going on. I dont play team challenges, and none of my team members want to either, just team tournaments.
Kookaburra: What I meant is GT has a active owner, and a paid full time programmer. This site just needs a new owner with passion to move it forward. This sites code is wrote that way, far brilliant to any out there, just his passion went from his game site to his family. I understand your frustration, but Im one that has teams in all the team tournaments so Im trying to keep them going and asked coan a year ago to lower the minimum players, in which he did. Ive been trying to get a checker team together for many moons. Just not many play checkers, sadly.
DeaD man WalkiN: So its a game using the beating cube? A multi game match? Well you can start by offering a double before you roll your first set of dice.. Still not sure why he is angry?
Gabriel Almeida: Since Jan 2018 after fencer announced the site would not be maintained as it was in the past and no guarantees, all I can say is I've had no down time.
Crosseyed Mary: Not since about june 2014. Originally it was a problem with paypal and treating the sale of brains like gambling. I remember him talking about but dont quote me. I just know you cant manually buy them and since all the cheating with brains all brains for membership is done manually by fencer now.
Carnie: I'm at my daughters house withn my grandkids and used my daughters laptop. Jessica is my daughter. or universe. Thought I was talking to you. This happen in the past, sorry. I don't look to see who was logged on, I just commented.
Carnie: But Carnie it was the total opposite years ago. We sent him money to keep it going and over 100 black rooks. So some may think fencer already took advantage.

I was hoping on a serious conversation folks and trying to get Filip to stop in and comment but he never will join in if we moan and groan. I know many could care less but was hoping a few did with a little coin in their piggy bank. Or is it even worth it at this point?
Carnie: Well its sort of on autopilot now. I'm sure a lot has to do with BK revenue and paying the overhead. I know that BK can fix a lot of issues automatically but I'm not sure what would happen if some software failed. I hope Fencer has plans or some negotiations going on. In my opinion if he gets some membership support and nothing serious fails I think we will see BK in 2018 just no guarantees as he stated in January 2017
rod03801: You know Rod I thought about that word but I selected the wrong abstract noun. lol. I think I lost my point on that statement. You know what I think of your relationship with fencer and BK. When ever you have to moderate people they hate you....like emma even fencer had to put her on total ban.
I didn't mean to stab at you buddy. This place would of been a hate zone without mods and usually your the only one available when a mod is needed.
ellieoop: I have known Patrick Chu since around 1997 when he was attending University of NC where IYT was born. It came online and been in operation since 1998.Developing, testing, and supporting IYT is handled by Patrick, two other full-time software developers, and a part-time support staff.ItsYourTurn.com has over 3,000,000 registered accounts, records around 1,000,000 game moves per day that result in over 5 million daily page views. I think with a BK staff this site could of grown to unknown possibilities. I think when fencer and paypal had the fight about the brains and paypal insisting it was gambling (you know paypal right your wrong all the time) I think when he discontinued the brains it was the beginning of the end. Some may remember that and people complaining because fencer took down that payment option for paying membership. We also must say fencer should of had a PR moderater and he should of just counted the money. Pat Chu discontinued the public board because its impossible to babysit millions of folks. It got out of hand. I must give fencer credit, he took a lot of rude remarks but allowed the public boards to remain. Many of us hate Rod, but think what it would of been without him, even if he may had been wrong in his decisions.
I guess my point is there is no other site I know of which you can create your own fellowship, or a gamesite of your own within a main site. The idea to send out your own invitations, create your own games and perimeters is very unique. I hate to see this die. I still see a light at the end of the tunnel. I wish fencer would consider a "down payment" while he holds the finiancing note he could help a team of buyers and a programmer understand his code. Fencer did say in the past he would stick around 1 year for free and help out a new owner, but that was a few years back and things have changed. I think a advertising campaign and a new programmer would only begin a rebirth here at BK but many think its too late.
can anyone explain why itsyourturn has 3+ million registered players and BK has 117,000 and BK is such a superior site and both are near the same age? Just curious for input. It still seems like BK could generate income still. Is this site to far gone? I mean to have a fair price tag? I don't see it possible unless a player/programmer like fencers old partner Liquid would work for future profits and a percentage of all income. Or a Mctrivia or ThunderGR or playbunny comes along and works for free. Each of these player/programmers spent a lot of time considering doing so in the past. I think the price tag for BK was just a little to high but BK is a premium site. I just wanna pull a Donald Trump and purchase it as a distressed company however I don't believe the current owner sees it that way. It is his dream and baby so I understand that as well.
And I'm not sure if anyone notices that fencer is gone for days at a time without logging in and the site runs fine. I know we are not going to get new games and features fixed but I would like to at least see it move on as it is until someone hopefully buys it. I donated to BK in the past and would do so in the future if I knew it would stay online.
Brian1971: You are correct and we have talked about this many times now. Its a different world with international affairs dealing with internet gaming and the tax laws and loop holes. Fencer has enormous taxes to pay on his sale of BK. . Its very expensive for lawyers to protect your money...its more of a hand shake when you buy the gamesite and have the data transferred too your server of choice. The data comes from the other side of the planet its not like you have a 800# to call and complain. Its a risk to anyone that is not a programmer.
Aganju: Some of us has communicated with fencer and we do know what he has in mind. Now I assume that price may have changed in the past few years. Now since he wont list a price tag or the fact we have no programmers willing to work for free I think it is immaterial what we chat about until a price is communicated. I don't think it was worth 50g in 2015 and I'm sure its not now. In the eyes of the owner a serious offer may not be what we think it is. With that said you would think others here at BK would like to know the asking price and many have asked publically with no replies. On the other hand we have no idea what has been communicated privately.
