rod03801: The biggest problem with our stair system is that you can only challenge down or even, so there is no incentive to make challenges. I know that when I get to the top of one I just sit there. also there are too many 2 game matches that end in a draw, there should always be a winner

your S-B score is based on the amount of wins that the people you beat have won. So in the first tournament your opponents won a combined total of 6 games where as your opponents that you beat in the second tourny won a total of 4 games combined

6 (months left) + 1 year (membership purchased )+ 3 months (bonus) = 21 months

Iamon lyme: there was never any post of yours to approve at that time, and by checking the date and time of your questioning the post, the problem with the board was the night before your post and already back to normal by the time you said that you posted, something else must have happened. I approved every post (some with editing) with the exception of one. Usually when a board is changed, the post slow down dramaticly and since you rarely post to that board, I assure you that I would have remembered it.

Rod is correct, Fencer has said in the past that because it is a multi-player game, that collusion is not necessarily cheating, he also has said that is would be almost impossible to prove, for example, there are people defending the possibility that these examples are not cheating, I find it ironic that out of the many claims in the past of cheating, the person that tends to stand up for the accused the most is Pedro,
Mad Monkey, if a formula is being used here, there is not enough information to figure it out,

Don't get me wrong Pedro, I agree with you, I'm just stating what Fencers stand has been

Subject: Re: understanding the fischer clock
Nothingness: The 1 day is not per move but for the entire game, the clock counts when it is your turn.
The 6 hours is the bonus you get for making a move.
so using your scenario, you would get 18 hours (3 x 6 hours) if you move 3 times per day, added to your total time. You would have to plan 4 moves per day to be safe.

Subject: Re: 10 games match question
Herlock Sholmes: "2 out of 3" would be simply a "2 win match", 4 out of 7 would be "4 win match" they are the same just not called the same as to what you are accustomed to.
As far as the 10 game match, it shouldn't be confusing, it is simply a "10 GAME match", you either win by wining more than 5 games, lose by losing more than 5 games or tie by winning 5 games, if it were the way you suggested it would have to be called a "most points in x games match"
