Geomomo: It would be a petty move since Brainking is a tiny website with few active players. If Russia were to nuke the West then Russia and Russians would be completely wiped out so it wouldn't be necessary.
ThunderGr: In what way am I, I quote, "accusing the site for your own weaknesse". I have not asked for you advice nor do I want it and will certainly not meditate on my 'weaknesses'; we have all some of those and you won't hear me ask you to meditate on you weak spelling and grammar .
Playing online games is extremely addictive. I want to give up playing here but the fact I can't close my account prevents me from making a clean break and I keep coming back for more games. Why are we not allowed to actually delete our Brainking account?
ThunderGr: You're alright mate, I can totally see your point of view. Kudos for starting a little Christmas cheer and action on the forum :) ☝
Gabriel Almeida: Good lord, what a joke! But not really a surprise and entirely symptomatic of what is happening to this website; it's the main reason why I never play tournaments anymore. There are players here - quite a lot of them unfortunately - whose idea of fun is to stretch out games as far as possible by using all the tricks in the book to abuse the Time per Move setting. The reasoning behind this is anyone's guess but my own view would make some wince so I'll keep it to myself. You ask is it normal? Of course it's not normal, it's deranged. I have seen posts on these boards vehemently defending the time out settings and the slow players so I suggest we should have two Brainkings, one for the jokers and another for the players interested in a reasonably quick and interesting game, call it slow-brain and fast-brain, whatever... but make it happen.
ThunderGr: You could use the 'Simple' layout option available at the top of most pages or could untick the 'Enable style animations' in the General profile setting page.
ThunderGr: Time limits are way too generous here, it's a bit of a joke. Some players wait until the very last moment before time-out to make a move, it's really quite sad. As far as I'm concerned slow players kill game websites, they suck all the enjoyment out of the games, makes everyone lose interest after a while. There are more and more of these guys here on Brainking (I'm not naming names but I'm itching to!). I have my own theory as to why.
(hide) If you click on a person's name and then click Finished games you will have a list of games that have been completed, then click on the name of the game to get a summary of all of these games, then click on the name of the game again and you will have a game to view and analyze.
