March 2009, 00:45:03  my problem with using the bible for debate, is this.... 1...the stories were first originated 2-4 THOUSAND years ago. 2...all stories have been re-written numerous times 3...though many idea's seem sound, the vast majority no longer fit in todays world 4...most bible quoters lack their own ideas and use the bible(in whatever version) as a crutch. 12. You see the text was written with many levels of revelation built in. .... And I use the Bible as well as other good religious texts (eg from Zen, Hinduism, Judaism and even some old Egyptian texts.
