Okay, two new team tournaments have been created.

29. July 2004, 12:48:49
Fencer
Very good :-)

29. July 2004, 12:43:26
Fencer
What about reversi?

29. July 2004, 09:37:38
Fencer
Does anybody have a idea for a name of team tournaments in checkers and reversi? :-D

23. July 2004, 11:07:59
Fencer
Anyone up for Dark Battleboats team tourney? :-)

23. July 2004, 10:50:24
Fencer
Yes.

22. July 2004, 15:35:41
Fencer
Oops, a small bug in timeout checker.
It should be okay now.

22. July 2004, 13:06:43
Fencer
You cannot cancel a tournament game.

22. July 2004, 12:46:52
Fencer
Ha! That's a nice one :-) Thanks bumble.

22. July 2004, 12:42:35
Fencer
Yes, if you resign all games or if it's obvious you cannot continue to the next round, I can release you.

22. July 2004, 09:11:15
Fencer
Does anybody have a good name for Spider Line4 team tournament? :-D

22. July 2004, 08:28:58
Fencer
IMupChucKing: You cannot be removed from a running tournament.

21. July 2004, 20:25:39
Fencer
Manual starts used to cause many problems in BK 1.0 :-) Now is the emergency button available for me and Liquid only, in case of automatic start malfunction.

21. July 2004, 20:21:43
Fencer
All tournaments start automatically in all rounds.
The script is performed once an hour. However, due to overloaded servers, it refuses to run sometimes.

21. July 2004, 17:52:50
Fencer
Tournament. Not team tournament. I will have to update that page.

21. July 2004, 17:44:49
Fencer
Contrary to what rules? Team tournaments are new to this site, they have nothing to do with normal tournaments.

21. July 2004, 16:26:56
Fencer
Okay, let's try Spider Line4.

21. July 2004, 15:46:37
Fencer
Yes if it's a Brain Rook or higher.

21. July 2004, 13:23:57
Fencer
Spider Line4?

21. July 2004, 13:21:00
Fencer
Next team tournament can be in Amazons.

21. July 2004, 12:11:51
Fencer
Five teams :-)

21. July 2004, 10:59:08
Fencer
Jason: If two teams end with the same points, the one with better score is the winner.

21. July 2004, 10:51:48
Fencer
Jason: The number of games per one player is the same as for normal tournament. It means that with 4 teams and two games with switched colours, everybody will play 6 tournament games.

21. July 2004, 09:51:29
Fencer
Four teams are signed up for five-in-line team tournament. Very good :-)

20. July 2004, 22:59:12
Fencer
Andersp: Pawns [tasselhof] cannot play team tournaments and Knights [Sarah1980] can play only one tourney - she is currently playing the first one in backgammon.

Subject: Re: Team Tournaments
Do you mean team matches between fellowships? When I finish a code for it.

19. July 2004, 14:30:48
Fencer
Five fellowships participating in the first team tourney still don't have a flag. The table would look nicer with them :-)

19. July 2004, 11:50:47
Fencer
Thanks.

19. July 2004, 11:49:52
Fencer
And? Who is capable of finding enough members to participate, will sign up. If you are not, it's your problem, not mine.

19. July 2004, 11:38:04
Fencer
The first fellowship has just signed up. It is possible to find 8 players.

19. July 2004, 07:32:00
Fencer
Stevie: You have 50 members in your fellowship, why is it that difficult to find only 8 of them?

18. July 2004, 19:55:21
Fencer
No more off-topic please. Ban button is always ready.

18. July 2004, 13:49:31
Fencer
Okay, we have a running tournament in backgammon and a new tournament to sign up in five in line.
What else? Which other game would have a support in as many teams as possible? Chess, maybe?

18. July 2004, 12:56:27
Fencer
I am not a backgammon expert so when I say it doesn't matter, I don't guarantee it's true :-) It's just my opinion.

18. July 2004, 12:51:51
Fencer
It depends. I am white in two and black in three games. But the system of colours will be improved, I didn't pay much attention to it in this case of backgammon.

18. July 2004, 12:44:53
Fencer
Thanks bumble :-) Now I can take some sleep.

18. July 2004, 12:38:29

The first team tournament has been started.

16. July 2004, 18:02:41

Unfortunatelly not all signed teams have pictures.

Subject: Team Tournament
Errrm ... I will have to postpone it once more. I've been too busy in my work and couldn't implement last details.
It's a matter of day or two, nothing complicated :-)

15. July 2004, 13:19:45
Fencer
Of course it's not the final solution but I had no time to improve it :-)

15. July 2004, 12:53:40
Fencer
No, they still need 10 slots.

15. July 2004, 11:59:18
Fencer
Yes. One or two slots over limit don't matter in this case.

15. July 2004, 11:53:27
Fencer
No, it's always 10 required empty slots.

15. July 2004, 11:45:23
Fencer
And you need at least the number of player which is defined as "minimum players" for the tournament.

15. July 2004, 11:44:34
Fencer
10 is all cases.

Can't you just wait for Friday? It would be hard to explain without showing real examples.

Subject: First team tournament
I have postponed the tournament deadline to Friday, 16th July 2004. The reason is that I had no time to perform all required tests and without tests it would be too risky to start it.

Subject: Re: Backgammon Prize Tourney
Heh, I've just signed up as well :-) So if I am the winner [which is VERY unlikely], the second one can get the prize.

Teams in Team Tournaments are sorted by average BKR now.
