Any fault remains with me. BK is still in infancy and Fencer does the best he can, learning more about best way to do things as he goes. Most cut him some slack and keep things in perspective. Some just can't wait to share their ill disposition. One thing is for sure, no one faces any harm while things get sorted here. In the past some have played mind games with tournaments, prizes, fellowships, etc... This was never my intention. I come here for good games, friends, and positive interactions. Not for grief. I am too busy in life to feel obligated to endure misery from anyone here. I truly miss the atmosphere I encountered when first I came here. Those who remember will know what I mean and share the feeling. Those who would seek to perpetually force their negativity upon the silent majority unfortunately grow in number proportionately. Sad fact. This is NOT directed at Caissus! He is nothing less than a valuable asset to this site and a friend.
Whatever I do from here will be completely anonymous and well under the radar so nobody needs to wonder if I've learned my lesson. Thanks to all who place good will to others and understanding above prizes. If someone wants to use computers to win, I hope they play someone else. I would like to note that I was not even a participant in the tournament in question. This was to remove any appearance of foul play, namely that I might use a computer to win my own prize. There are many good people here!

Thanks bumble, but already too much flak and no way to ever live it down. I have resigned all my games and will forfeit my recently renewed membership as donation to Fencer. Maybe this shows it's not about the money as some will suspect.

And here is where I cannot win. Some are already complaining of known "cheaters" while the others say it's not cheating at all. I am in between a rock and hard place. Maybe we just have fritz play fritz and I give fritz $80. Any blame stays with ME.

Subject: BK World Championship Chess Tournament
It has been brought to my attention that the use of chess software to make moves in this event is a distinct probability. Unfortunately, this form of cheating is impossible to prove, and the controversy that such allegations would create are beyond resolution. As this issue has become a point of contention weeks before the actual event was scheduled to begin and I have no way of insuring a fair result it is with great regret that I must announce the tournament has been CANCELLED .
I will not attempt any prize orientated chess tournaments again. I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding, R*L

In the event of a tie in the final round the challenger will be the player with the highest rating at that time. Subject: re: is there a way
If you set both minimum and maximum BKR range to 100 and activate "include unrated players" that may work.
(if the system does not allow it then maybe a maximum of 200 would work).

you could also make it between highly ranked members only in a game of skill with the prize going to the pawn of their choice. (may be not greedy enough)

Subject: Re: while we're on the subject...
Walter : The tournament allowed the extra players to remain. Therefore, I do not understand the intention of having the maximum number of players option. I had designated 12 so that the tournament would be limited to 3 sections of 4 players and could begin as soon as it was filled.

Subject: while we're on the subject...
I created a tournament and set the maximum number of players to 12. The program allowed more than 12 players to sign up anyway. None were automatically removed when the tournament started, which is good because then I'd have had some explaining to do.

Subject: Clarification Please
If a BrainPawn is in a running tournament, has finished all their games in their section, and statistically cannot advance to the next round, can they join a new tournament or must they wait for the tournament to finish despite the fact they can no longer play?
