For those who are part of the FRCEC club, and wish to participate in a quad or a trio, let me know. My BK id is 8352 and I will set up one for you--and I will send invitations to the players.
I have been watching the games on and off, and I have been interested in many of the ideas I have seen. I want each of you to look at how much GC (Gothic Chess) is being played – and some of the good ideas that are being used in the games.
--on Apr 03-2005, we have these currently running tournaments…
That’s a lot of games, folks. That means that there are a lot of stories to tell. I would like to hear some of them. If you are playing in one of the games, post your side of the story—tell us about your favorite win, loss, or struggle. Any thoughts?
Attention, chess fans and chess-curious: Join the ChessMinded--Chess + Variants tournament, including the standard game, Janus Chess, Dark Chess, Gothic Chess, Screen Chess, and (for those who do not mind the stilted strength of white's army in this case) Horde Chess. We need players, and it starts on the 28th May.
Currently there are five Janus Chess tournaments (of varying lengths) of which I am aware currently running on BrainKing.com. I want the chess-playing public to know about this intriguing chess variant here. At one point there was a Janus Chess Fellowship; I went looking, and did not find what I was looking for. I have a great love for the 8x10 board, and the possibilities it offers in terms of creative solutions for attack. Gothic is my favorite, but Janus Chess pulls at my attention. I have played through some great games, and for pure shock value, as well as breathing new vigor into an attack the (Janus=Archbishop) certainly packs a punch!
I want the Janus Chess Invitational to become a prize-centered tournament, if the right attention is given to it.
Sign up if you are interested in its becoming a prize-centered tourney.

Thanks to all at this site who are being so diligent in their work on making this a great site. I am new and very well pleased. The Gothic Chess players are accommodating; the play is strong; the features are helpful; the programmers are doing a solid job. I am happy to come and play these wonderful chess variations--it is the only place online I have yet found that allows for this. Naysayers often get their airtime. This is a "Yeasayer" who is pleased with what I have seen here. Prosperity to you.
The 8x10 tournament is exciting. Thanks again.
