BerniceC: hahaha...Clay couldnt handle the boiler room on a REAL GOOD day ROFLMBO.
I was raised that way Bernice, full of hate and uncontrollable anger. It has done nothing for me but make my life miserable. I am tired of being miserable. I want to enjoy life, have fun, cut up with people of like mind. I'm sure the boiler room is suitable to some people and thats fine. It takes all kinds to make thwe world go around! Something for everyone!
Purple:I am a Dominant memember of your F/S.................I realize you have sooooo many members that you hadn't noticed! In fact I belong to both of yours! I have won every tournament there I entered! Well I will when I enter. Plan on doing so the very next one!
Also I awarded "ASK DR. PURPLE" the prestegious SITE of the month award for which I oversee and formed on my very own with some help from what few friends I have been able to develope! hehehehehe
Sense of Humor....An ability to laugh at ones self as frequently if not more than another!
Can anyone explain why the "Archived News" messages I create in my fellowship (Art of War), go to the "discussion board" instead of on the main page where they are supposed appear in a green box?
on your main page i see this" 8x10 Chess Variants : Loop Chess, Anti-Chess, Dark Chess, and Atomic Chess... (Minimum 1800 BKR) " but not in a green box , also it doesnt say you have any "Archived News"
Jason: That's the problem. Every time I try to create Archived News, the message goes to the discussion board and does not remain stored in Archived News! ???
its stays on your main page for however many days its set to stay there , then it goes to archived news ... it looks differnt to you also because you are the big boss of the fellowship .
I set the days to 14. It doesn't stay 1 minute! I realize it may look different to a big boss, but, as I said, it goes to the discussion board not the main page, and does not store itself in the Archived news after I hit send. This cannot be working right. ???
Ikkon: No it isn't working properly. It's happened before. Fencer will fix it if you send him a message or if he reads this in the morning.
That's the Art of War fellowship, right?
Ikkon: *nod* i had the same problem as well when i started my fellowship, bumble and nirvana played with it as a big boss as well .. it didnt work .. then all of a sudden it was fixed .. i expect divine intervention .. or maybe it was fencer .. if thats different ;)
Basiclly a Fellowship is a place for a group of people with similar interest to get together. For example, I have a Backgammon Fellowship which we have out own discussion board for members to talk about the game, we have teams which compete in team tournaments with other fellowships, plus we have tournaments which are only for members of that fellowship.
When you become a paying member of Brainking you can join fellowships. They are mostly small groups of people with similar interests. Some groups are interested in playing games, some may be more interested in a particular subject, and the object of some is to make friends.
I'm sorry, ellieoop, but I've banned you for posting a silly message on a non-silly board. However, if you post two non-silly messages on silly boards then the degree of non-silliness must be in direct proportion to the level of silliness contained in your most silly post of all time, which, I feel sure, that will be extremely silly and would be worthy of Mr Silly who went to the University of Silliness and studied under Professor Absurdly Ridiculous and only then will I unban you from your silly post on this non-silly board although you must comply with the rules of silliness and non-silliness of all silly and non-silly fellowships unless the Big Boss is certifiably silly and has a silly certificate to prove his/her silliness (preferably framed in a suitable silly polka dot frame with orangey bits).
Ok, well you can certainly post to any board I'm part of then because I have a supersized silly certificate sealed with silly putty and framed in a pink and purple polka dot orange frame
Subject: Re: a pink and purple polka dot orange frame
MidnightMcMedic:speaking of pink and purple polka dots.... There was a story of a home owner here in the Dallas area who got upset with code enforcemnt and he painted his house purple with yellow trim and pink polka dots. ROFL

I have a new fellowship for anyone interested in multiple player games on Brainking. Right now there is only one, Run Around the Pond. But more are planned in the future, I believe. Since these games do not include pawns, there is no need really to discuss them in a "public" forum where the rules of moderation are more restrictive, and inhibitive to constructive and productive dialogue.
This fellowship will promote dialogue about Pond games and eventually any other multi player games featured here at Brainking.
If anyone would be so kind as to post a link to this fellowship for me? Thanks!
Czuch Chuckers: I've got an idea - why dont you ask someone to show you how to do a link - i've noticed a few places where u have asked and someone has obliged (and i could do with showing me too).
Can anyone explain "how to"? perhaps on the computers board? (can someone do a link...lol)
Then if you want the link to show diferent from the url address....go back to your post and edit....then alter the second half of the link ( the url is shown twice ) to say "fellowship link" for example
(hide) If you want to save on bandwidth you can reduce the amount of information that shows up in your pages in the Settings. Try changing the number of games in the main page and the number of messages per page. (pauloaguia) (show all tips)
