Subject: Shogi / Shogi Variants
What's about to add Shogi and some of its Variants to this site? There are so few sites around where it is possible to play Shogi.
If it will be added please both types of piece sets (Kanji and Western).

MidnightMcMedic Back on 11th January on this board Fencer said 'No more' after granting a wish for a teddy bear (no, I don't understand either!).

I guess he'll add more when he has the time and the inclination.

I looked but can't find a couple of avatars that would be really cool in the smilies, a 4 leaf clover and a horseshoe for wishing good luck....

No chance until the new board structure is created.

Subject: Story DB
It has been suggested that it would be helpful to have a separate bit on that for discussion/chat etc to keep the story lines going more fluently.
Any chance of that please Fencer?

Subject: reorganisation of the dbs
For the case of the merging or reorganisation of the chess dbs I would suggest the following disposition:

1. standard chess
2. random chess (includes all random variants like chess960,corner,fortress)
3. other chessvariants with the 8x8 board
4. 10x8 chess (includes Janus,Gothic,perhaps Capabalnca randomchess)

are ponds considered tournaments?

29. January 2005, 17:11:30
BuilderQ
Well, there is the "You are the tournament winner" message.

29. January 2005, 16:58:17
coan.net
I have recieved messages whenever a tournament I created ends.

Now by just being in a tournament (not the creator), I do not think you get a message when it ends.

You can also view the Complete tournaments.

It's possible that some notifications had been lost during a server restart. I'll improve the code to cover such situations as well.

Fencer: I have had 2 ponds finish in the last couple days....I do not recall getting notification that they were finished....Only by keeping the URL in my notebook was I able to keep track of who won ...
Perhaps I missed the notification, but I dont think so as I was watching very closely as one of them had a prize attached and I didnt want to miss it :)

I'd like to get a message when a pond is finished. I think now you only get one when you splash into the pond or get the bonus for the round.

Subject: Re: PM's
ScarletRose: What purple means is at GT they have bold on the message subject if its not read.. so you go to your send box an if you see it unbold u know its been read.. simple format and easy way to see if your message has been opened.

Purple: OooOOppPSss. I should have been more clearer.. I was meaning is there a way to find out when the person you sent the message to has read the message? Like a notification thingy.. and of course when selected perhaps.. that way not all messages are pinging back that they have been opened and read..

Heck.. now I am confused on what I am even saying.. LOL

Basically.. something that tells the sender that the addresses has read the message..

Subject: PM's
I would like to see a feature where sent PM's could be in bold type until they are read as well as a mechanism for withdrawing unread messages. This may already have been suggested. It should not be too hard because GT has it and they are light years behind BK of course.
