It would be cool to have an "moved so far today" list somewhere (Like on the Statistics Page) - would make it easier for when I want to go for the 2,000 move mark!

How many times have others asked for this?

Next to the number of game moves we have? That is So cool! I didn't know that was even possible!

harley: Where should such counter be displayed?

Fencer, cool new(? I hope!) feature on the bar at the top with how many game moves we have. I like the way it counts down.
Is it possible to have a similar counter with how many moves we make in a day? So it counts up when we hit 'move' and resets itself at midnight?

It is listed at the top of this board under "Features in development:" which I believe means he has already started on it. But if not it at least means he is planning on adding it :-)

Certainly convenient for review, another arguement for a direct link.

I go into them - it's just interesting to compare
the different impact on ratings, and possibly to review the game ~*~

My god, how thoroughly impolite of me. MidnightMcMedic: please accept my apologies, I didn't mean to suggest that your rating is lower than that of any of your opponents.

30. August 2004, 20:52:56
ughaibu
Your opponents won't take a draw because of their rating, so they're among the readers of those messages.

Subject: When I resign a game...
Believe it or not...I don't win every game. Some games I choose to resign. When I do, I am kicked back to the "Main Page". I would prefere to be sent to the next game. Or at least have an option like you do with the "Submit Move" button.

30. August 2004, 20:41:10

I read every one, because as I said, I check the BKR change. (As I'm sure many others do, also)

Caissus, The reason I would like the option to disable the pictures is that I play at work and prefer to be less conspicuous. I also would prefer not to see them again, and again, and again, etcetera...

30. August 2004, 20:30:35
rod03801
The message contains the change in BKR, which the person making the final move would like to see also.

30. August 2004, 20:25:59
vitalik
oh, yeah, that's not implemented.

I don't see a point of a getting a message after one's final move. I think only the opponent should get the message.

There is a number of unread messages displayed next to "Message Box" text. If you click on the number (not the text) it will take you to the most recent message.

Subject: A less controversial request (if such a beast roams the woods).
When submiting a move and going to the message box can we be directly sent to the most recent message please? We probably chose to go there to delete a result notification and in any case it doesn't increase the number of clicks.

You can have doubling cube when we get auto pass on reversi, not fair one without the other, considering other sites have them

Not a delete, but a resign is surely on. ASt least, it is in chess!
But what I want, and am happy to pay IF it ever was, is a doubling cybe. Without that I am not paying for this website, after all, it is in nearly every other website that plays backgammon.

I almost never get games by going on the waiting list. Most everybody is cool and innocent but the small number of programmers out there use the waiting games as a feeding pond. Those are the only games they can get anymore.

30. August 2004, 16:30:50

True ug, but some people wont accept a draw because it does affect the BKR.

In the case you gave one game could be agreed drawn.

In such a case the player putting up the game would be doing the deleting, it still sounds irresponsible to me but preferable to the case of a player accepting games from the waiting games page and then deleting them. If your point is a valid one the use of "delete" could be confined to the game's proposer and denied to it's acceptor.

30. August 2004, 16:24:38

Two cirumstances come to mind where the delete is valuable. If someone picks up your game from the waiting games list and this person is a ringer or a creep you might want to delete out. Also if someone joins a tournament that you are in at the last minute and you are thrown into a game with him sometimes it is better to delete out than have to deal with some potty mouth.

If we're on such good terms what's wrong with playing two at once?
