Nothing to do with blame, you're here, I dont want you to go. In an international community of several thousand members each member tolerates some things for the sake of enjoying the community.
In such a case the player putting up the game would be doing the deleting, it still sounds irresponsible to me but preferable to the case of a player accepting games from the waiting games page and then deleting them. If your point is a valid one the use of "delete" could be confined to the game's proposer and denied to it's acceptor.
I request the removal of the "delete game" facility. I cant understand what on Earth it's for apart from to increase the scope for annoying behaviour. There are even games in which a player can have a lost position after their first move yet they can delete on the second. If a player doesn't want to play what are they accepting games for? The delete games facility encourages irresponsibility, it's meaningless nonsense.
I suppose you will too, that's insufficient by which to arbitrate the worth of my post's content. I see the point of auto-pass, I also recognise Fencer's groundbreaking acheivement with this site is membership involvement and you as a member are reducing my enjoyment of the site with this crap. Fencer has said "no", it's an easy word/concept to understand, you must've been familiar with it since your pre-speech era, why are you still going on about it?
Sure, the possibilities exist. In the waiting games area do we need half a dozen different species for any passable game? Tell me why it's worth the fuss. I prefer simplicity, if I have to decide all sorts of this and that everytime I play a game, I'll end up?playing atomic chess or something.
As I said, the player with no move may want to exercise an option such as offering a draw. Even though they have no move, in the case of backgammon, probability may be strongly in their favour, accordingly the player able to move might accept a draw (are there agreed draws in backgammon?) anyway, you get my drift.
It's not about diffuse puberty rituals of fixative proving whatever, it's about, inter alia, football chess. The trivialisation of this board on the "question" of auto-pass means that the majority will not see the posts of either you or me that made genuine suggestions to improve the site. I hope that Bumble or Red Dragon have the patience and dilligence to delete all the auto-pass crap and leave just those pertinent posts.
If you mean me, I'm not bitching, that characterises the behaviour of AndersP and Stevie. I'm quite tired of coming to this board to read about this nonsense so I'd like to kill it today.
It really doesn't matter to me either way, I dont understand why it's so crucial for you(?) If you're short of games to move in you can stick with shorter time limits or stick another 90 challenges in the waiting games, it's just not a big problem, is it?
Never knew you felt like that about me! I think it's absurd to imagine that you decide when your opponent moves, the height of bad manners, the only way I can see to do it is to have two versions of all games that have pass situations, auto-pass on or off.
You cant expect to auto-pass your opponent's moves, can you? So it won't speed the game up any further than the 3-4 seconds it takes you yourself to pass. Are you people really serious about this? So much talk about something so completely unimportant, incredible, "read a book".
There is no reason to believe the majority want auto-pass, it's the same few who bring it up. As a feature request I'd like to ask for no more posts on this trivial and boring subject.
How about a BrainKing social archives page? Detailing developments good and bad, for the amusement of future members. For example the rise and fall of KM with details of it's structure and the roles of it's officers would be fascinating, no real ids need be used.
