my mom's been in the hospital for about a week and that she nearly died. Somehow in my large family the lines of communication broke down. She's still in the hospital and I have no details yet. Your prayers would be appreciated.
Let's keep the people of India and Sri Lanka in our prayers. The 9.0 earthquake in the Indian ocean has killed thousands. I have a little girl I sponsor in Sri Lanka through World Vision and I'm concerned. Very sad that so many died as there was no early warning in place.
Impossible without the inner strength of the HS. That is my guess. We can only strive to be like HIM, which should be each Chritian's ultimate goal. It's a good question. I'd say the real answer is "It's impossible." But with God all things are possible. But only through HIM.
On Thursday I went into the doctors for chest pains that I thought were related to my cold. They put me in the hospital right away and today I had an angiogram. Apparently I have some blockage and was a candidate for a heart attack. YIPES. And to think I was going to wait another week. But as it was, I could hardly do anyting without pain. Am very sore right now but many have prayed for me and all went well with the procedure. My wife was with me all the time and my daugter was there all day. I'm home now and in a bit of pain but glad to have caught this problem ahead of time. I would covet your prayers in the coming weeks. God bless.

Just a few things to meditate on for you Mindy. You have many friends here so whatever it is that is troubling you, you will be surrounded by the prayers of good friends.
"Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything. by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil.4:6-7).
God will make a way when there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide; hold me closely to his side.
With love and strength for each new day, he will make a way. Don Moen
My brother Mark and his wife Linda were involved in a head-on crash this past Saturday. A truck turned in front of them. My sister-in-law has a broken ankle, a broken hand, and sustained injuries to her chest area due to the airbag. She is in a great deal of pain and they are concerned about complications. My brother is brused from the seat-belt but is otherwise ok.
This is the same brother and sister-in-law that lost their 24 yearold son about 5 years ago (in a plane crash). My brother has asked us to all pray for Linda's healing and that no complications will arise. Also, pray that the doctors and nurses will watch over Linda carefully. Thanks
