I want a good email spam stopper tho...any suggestions?

3. July 2004, 03:58:16

I also use spybot and adaware, on Backoff's recommendation and find them both beneficial to each other in catching something the other misses :)
Backoff....where is the spam stopper you were talking about? Im getting about 100 spam a day :(
I use mailwasher but it isnt working properly in my mind :(

the easiest way to do it is to go to somewhere like bravenet and copy paste the code onto you web page....you can set it up to suit your self of course with your own backgrounds etc etc.

go see mine...it is one of the freebies :)

this is the pop-up add filter I use...you have to pay for it, but it is just great and stops all popups...

add killer
here is a review on the product...
This has to be about the best pop-up killer we've used and is not only capable of handling every pop-up we could find, but it also doesn't get in your way and can be configured to allow pop-ups on specific sites. It also keeps a log of all the sites it has suppressed pop-ups from, which makes for interesting reading if you are so inclined. We really like this tool and at $25 it seems reasonably priced. It gets 10 gearteeth out of 10!
- Mark Gibbs, Network World Magazine (May 13, 2002)

I will also say this....i have just looked at the "LOG-FILE" it keeps RADIANT and the very worst offender is BIG-CAFE....

Subject: Spyhunter
I dont think spyhunter is pirated soft ware kitti :) if you do a search on the reliable google it appears to be a free download, so Aragon has not done that as such, or even at all.(or is it a 30 day free trial) I must admit i didnt look.
all he did really was to make it easier for you to down load this ??freebie?? by placing it on his site. It could save you searching and trying to find which is the best site to download from.
I might be wrong here and if so I will stand corrected :)

And i agreet with Lythande...fpt has nothing to do with spyware or the remove of.

ftp = file transfer protocol from memory and is used in the construction of web pages :)

Subject: A M KM :)
I read all I can on computers in the hope that I might learn something :)
In our local paper today this jogged my memory of your query on 2 monitors...now this could be the same info that you already have but here goes :)

Talk about wide screen. US start-up DoubleSight had introduced a specialised monitor fusing two 15inch LCD screens into one 24-inch-wide display.
Compared with two separate monitors, this device takes up less desk space, generates less heat and provides perfectly aligned viewing, though it has an annoying half-inch strip in the middle to cover the two screens share edge.
DoubleSight started selling the monitors on its website (www.doublesight.com) this month. The company is targeting people who already use two monitors - such as accountants who want to view a spreadsheet across two screens or researchers who use one screen to display research and the other to take notes.
"The primary benefit is productivity gain" say DoubleSight chief ec\xecutive Jay Muskovich.
"You dont have to resize the window you're working on"
More people prefers a larger screen on a single monitor instead of using two monitors, according to an IDC survey.
But, while the $US799 (AUS$1135) price for the DoubleSight DS-1500 is less that half the price of large LCD monitors, buying two 15inch displays can cost as little as $US600 (AUS$852)

This is word for word the article and really it means nothing to me, but some of you computer wizzes might get something out of this :)

Subject: WOW Aragon :)
the price of monitors is HUGE...you are talking POUNDS (dont have that symbol on keyboard) I assume you are talking UK...
are you talking flat monitors (17inch)because if you are you are being ripped off LOL...$209 here in Aus, but no brand name and from a reputable dealer as well. so???
