I forgot all about NASCAR. :) I'm doing well.

I have serve as commissioner of the pool for five of the last seven years. It's kind of nice to not even get a call about it starting this week. Is, or was the Daytona 500 today? Who won?

TigerCat:there's a lot of ways to look at it, when a team needs so much help.....maybe trade the pick for 2 players down the list,a 1st and a second rounder ...I remember the year that Houston was laughed at for passing on Reggie Bush, but 2 years later Mario Williams is one of the top lineman in the league and Reggie is just average...I still think you can find skill players in the NFL (rb's,wr's etc.) by free agency but when you get a chance at a no miss lineman ,you'd be better off building that way.......

awesome: This is the Lions..but thankfully Matt Millen isn't here now. I've been looking at different sites so see who they are predicting in mock drafts & some have Smith & others QB. I just wish that the ownership would sell the team to somebody who actually knows what football is all about

if I was drafting for the Lions I'd select the OT from Alabama, Andre Smith.... he'll be an all-pro for years and teams like the Lions need to build the off@def lines first...

My team..the Detroit Lions have the 1st pick this yr & I'm hoping that they start drafting OL or DL ppl instead of WR's! They need so many holes filled that they look like very porous swiss cheese at the moment. 1 question, should they draft the best QB 1st or trade down to extra picks this year?

Hi everyone,

I would love to see Dodgers and the Sox in the WS, Manny and Nomar against his former teammates. Wouldn't that be a sight? :) With the Dodgers being 2-0 down to the Phillies though, it's not going to be that easy to happen, "methinks". :)

I was originally hoping for the Mets to make it, but I guess Pedro wouldn't pitch in the postseason anyway, would he? :)

Subject: Angels versus Red Sox
I'll be there tomorrow. The previous two meetings through the years have seen the Red Sox win the series and go to the next round. I'm hoping for a different outcome this time around. OF the nine regular season games they played each other this year, the Angels won eigth of them. This doesn't mean much in a best of five series, but it is reason for me to be optimistic. :)
