Pawns can make linear moves and all pieces can jump only orthogonally.

Corner Checkers
Corner Checkers is a variation of Czech Checkers with two important differences. The first one is the starting position:
The second modification is about pawn promotion rules. A pawn can promote to a queen only if it reaches one of two fields at the top-left board corner (from each player's point of view). It means that a white pawn must go to A7 or B8 to be promoted and a black pawn has to reach G1 or H2 squares. The other rules are the same as for Czech Checkers. Play this game
