Marshmud: They are both tie-breakers. The rule below in SE tournaments, and S-B in regular tourneys. In other words, Thom27 is correct in his original post.
Marshmud: This only applies to "single elimination" tournaments.
"Warning! If a normal game ends as a draw, the player with lower BKR would advance to the next round (in case of equal BKRs, the one who didn't start the game - the black player in most games). If you want to avoid such situations, create this tournament with 1 win matches instead."
(1) I don't know. You may have discussed the game in a fellowship. (2) The rule says that if (a) opponent has collected all his checkers onto the one point behind player's prime, then (b) the player must unblock a point in his prime to allow the opponent a chance to move.
The situation described as (a) did not occur in your game, hence (b) did not (or would not) have to be enforced.
On another note, I have now found out that the tiny-font line that used to appear right below the name of a poster and saying what the person is doing has been removed… Oh well, just another useful feature that is gone…
jadarite: You do get this correct. I am replying to someone who has made a suggestion.
It doesn't concern me at all. Your suggestion only perplexes me as I have no idea why anyone would bother conducting lengthy discussions about a suggestion that they know will never come to life. I have a suggestion too: It would help me a lot if Friday came right after Tuesday. Now let's discuss the pros and cons…
I do not know why you care if I “actually” play Shogi, but you are welcome to visit my profile and see for yourself.
jadarite: So if I understand you correctly, you are making suggestions even though you know they are never going to be implemented? Well, good luck then.
jadarite: Do not take anything written on this site too seriously. There are many obsolete texts here, as well as just about as many missing ones. And as pointed out by rabbitoid, the One is no longer bothered...
Temo: Re: This site's current estimated worth is...
Heluvagi: I don't think he can be arsed. He has stated several times that BK is no longer one of his priorities. This and the deterioration of this site I (and actually, we all) have been experiencing is also making me believe that BK is not worth much for the time being.
Heluvagi: Speaking of that tournament, I would like to know how it is possible that milionovej kluk made it to the second round, whereas cardinal and I didn't.
Interesting, though, that you won't see him complaining about THAT here… he will complain about running out of time (claiming it's a bug), other people sending him unpleasant messages (claiming they are harassing him), and whatnot, but NOT about an obvious bug he must have noticed…
Aganju: I checked my “Brains History” and it says I got my first 50 Brains for having purchased a Rook membership for a person whose name I cannot mention here because it is prohibited to mention names here under a harsh penalty.

Thom27: I have never bought myself a single Brain on this site – only bought them for others. Yet, you must understand that the Brains are used as an equivalent of money here, since we can purchase membership with them. That's why I don't think “20 free Brains for all” is such a good idea, at least not from the owner's point of view. However, making the users be able to purchase them, that's a whole different story.
I am hereby requesting the BrainKing Team to ban the two accounts below from Discussion Boards. It has gone too far. Personal data should never be posted on a public board without the person's consent.
MadMonkey: It doesn't matter how dictionary.com or any other website defines “gambling” … it does matter, however, how “gambling” is defined by/under the applicable legislation…
