The discussion on "moderating by the moderators" is the prime example. In real life we dont have moderators going around and editing conversations or banning people from conversing in public. Instead we have morals and the ability to choose who we interact with. Here - we have those that take advantage of the public boards to ignore what others find decent and we need these moderators to balance the lack of our ability to walk away. Thats why I volunteered to be a co-mod on this board - Id love to help Fencer and the global mods keep this site a friendly place to play and have fun. 6. I mean if BBW had removed himself from all moderating (except global) and he had to be re enlisted because of a lack of anyone else qualified, or lack of volunteers, what does that say for the 99.5% of the registered users who dont help out this site? It's not like BBW or anyone else is getting any extra benefits from helping out the site. They are doing it of their own free will, and time. If there is anyone here that is a paying member and would like to help out the site in some way, feel free to let any of the Globals know. There are always boards that come up that need moderators or co-mods. We ask and ask sometimes and all we get are the people that have caused problems. Obviously, they wouldn't be much help if they have already made enemies here and continue to attack them, or have their own little groupies that choose to prey on others.
