"This is a great brownie recipe. Nuts can be added if desired. If you want to make a larger pan, it's best to triple the recipe."
Original recipe yield: 1 - 9x9 inch square pan
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, corn syrup and sugar.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, cocoa and salt, gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until brownies pull away from the sides of the pan.
Frost when cooled, if desired.
1 Tbsp fennel or anise seed
6 green cardamom pods
12 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4" ginger root, sliced thin
1/4 tsp black pepper corns
2 bay leaves

I like my PB and banana sandwiches with a little bit of Miracle Whip. Adds just a little zing. Most people tell me it sounds gross... but try it! It's great!
rod03801: When I was in high school, every day I walked home for lunch and had a PB & miracle whip sandwich. I don't think I could eat one today - just sounds gross thinking about it, but I sure loved them then. Now PB & Bannana - yum.... that does sound good just thinking about it.
Currently the "big" thing in our house is PB & cinimon sandwichs. yum...
rod03801: PB and miracle whip...I didn't know there was anyone else out there that prepared their sandwhiches this way. I just thought we were weird! Of course, that was years ago! Like BBW...I don't think I could eat one today...gross!
harley: Who in their right mind would buy 'Brains'? Me! Or does that prove your point?
I like Brains faggots. (waits for giggles from our American cousins to die away....)
Rose: Ah! Good question! Er.... They are meatballs made from (I think) pig's liver and onion.
Brains is a name of a frozen food firm that makes them and their recipe includes various spices and stuff.
make pudding, your fav flavour, swirl into, but dont mix well:
cool whip
marshmellow fluff
push into the center of it a small scoop of your fav ice cream.
then put it into the freezer until it is well chilled but not frozen.
eat.
amandalove: yes. and best of all they are nummy. ;) I usually buy the Big Train chai teas Vanilla and Spice from the local Co-op. But If you like Oregon Chai, then making it from scratch is the way to go. So much cheaper!
4 Cups diced raw rhubarb 1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/2 Cups sugar (I used 2) 2 Cups whipping cream, not whipped
Place rhubarb in bottom of baking dish or cake pan (oblong type)
Sprinkle sugar on top then sprinkle dry cake mix over the sugar/rhubarb. Pour the cream on top. Bake at 350* for 60 minutes.
If using tin pan bake 375* for 45-60 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Note: rich so a little goes a long way. Should be lightly brown on top.
Can use other fruits.
1 lb bacon, browned & chopped
1 to 2 cups slivered almonds
1/4 to 1/2 cups white sugar
4 cups broccoli (raw, cut in small pieces)
2 cups celery, chopped
3 to 4 cups red and/or green seedless grapes
1 cup raisins
Dressing:
1 cup miracle whip
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Ø Brown bacon and drain on paper towels. Put wax paper on a cookie sheet.
Ø Brown sugar and almonds in skillet (sugar will melt). Quickly spread almonds thinly on cookie sheet, so they do not clump together.
Ø Combine broccoli, celery, grapes and raisins in a large bowl.
Ø Combine miracle whip, sugar and vanilla and add to broccoli mixture. Do not add the chopped bacon or almonds until ready to serve.
Ø May be refrigerated in 3 separate containers the day before needed. When ready to serve, add the bacon and the
almonds. Stir before serving..
