I dont understand why that guy isn't already in a secure institute for criminal lunatics. It was great to see VdL smiling and doing his aeroplane wings on the last stretch despite arguably having been deprived of first place.
The Olympic games are somewhat exciting to watch but the judging part needs alot of work on. I'm wondering if they are going to have a "head" judge at each event to look over everything in the near future? Just curious
Sorry Andersp, I guess being an European has some advantages once in a while ;-)
Well even already know the resul I still recommend that you see the race.
Today in Athens the race from most consider the Queen event of the games was a very fast race, with the Portuguese Francis beat the Europe record and earn Silver. 4 athlets were below 9.90, an extraordinary race. The others medals went for the americans. Looking forward the 200 meters the predilect event of the portuguese sprinter.
Please can we all keep this board for what it meant for, Sport from all over the world.
I am ver busy for until the weekend, so dont have alot of time to get on to.
Obvioulsy Fencer still can if he sees something he does not like & is off subject, BUT i am sure he has better things to do.
I don't want to set this board to having 'All posts must be approved'
Just to let you know, no one was upset or mad that you let your opinions be known. It was just the way it was done, that is spammed on many boards including many which were off topic.
Temo: Anyone follow the Buffalo Bills on this site?
I am not all that sport minded but since I live in the area keep informed of the winnings of the Buffalo Bills. My brother and his wife have a great knowledge about football but I have trouble keeping track of who the quarterback is or isn't. I hope they do better this year than last; that's all.
There are no problems such as I mentioned in my previous message on this board. I just posted it to every board so all could see my opinion. I learned big lesson today that sometimes it is good to keep your opinions to yourself so as not to ruffle feathers. My apologies to this site.
follow me to the cave ... we'll watch beach-volleyball, women ...

PARIS (Reuters) - France playmaker Zinedine Zidane announced Thursday that he was ending his international career after a 10-year spell with Les Bleus.
"My international career is over now," said the 32-year-old playmaker on his Web Site. "I called the coach yesterday to let him know I had made up my mind. I think it was the right time to say 'stop'. At least, it was the time for me to do so," he said.
France coach Raymond Domenech confirmed the news as he unveiled his squad for next week's friendly against Bosnia.
"Zidane will not play for France anymore. I'm sorry about it. I would have liked him to carry on. He thought he had to leave the place to young players," said Domenech.
Zidane has had a long and successful career with France, winning the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European championship.
His retirement closes a glorious chapter in French soccer history with only goalkeeper Fabien Barthez remaining from the team that beat Brazil to become world champions in 1998.
Zidane's announcement came after defenders Lilian Thuram, Bixente Lizarazu and captain Marcel Desailly all called time on their international careers since the end of Euro 2004.
"This is the end of a story," Zidane said. "It's important to know when your time to go has come. Some players had done it in 2000 and in 2002. Others like me are doing it now."
The French number 10 who earned 93 caps and scored 26 goals for France said that he had been considering his international retirement for quite some time.
And our squad seems even worse this time.. But you'll never know, we might get a few medals this time also. Swimming, sailing, shooting and track&field (men's hammer, men&women javelin, men shot putt) are events where we have a very small chance to get some medals.
Ever since Beckham moed to Real Madrid, I was curious about how the spanish accepted him. I know in England he was either loved or loathed, so how is it in Spain? Any spaniards that can answer that?
Congratulations to Todd Hamilton on winning the The Open at Royal Troon after going through a 4 hole play off with Ernie Els.
He started the tournament as a rank outsider on odds between 500 & 750-1, landing a £720,000 first prize :-)

seems to retire from his ambitions and Andreas is the new tcom star, ranking 4 ... ~*~
CONGRATULATIONS to Greece on winning EURO 2004, what more can anyone say. They had NEVER won a game in the euro finals ever, and now go all the way - outstanding performance :-)
