My roses have the leaves getting big black splotches and turning yellow and then all falling off. At one point, one bush has NO leaves left, although they do seem to be growing back. I took a peek this morning, they are looking pretty nice. Maybe 1/2 inch tall..... lets see if I can remember... blue lake beans, collards, scallions, broccoli... oh and carrots! Now my roses are leafing out very nicely. I still haven't added anything to their soil yet. 17. Marto 2006, 04:44:32 oh they were sitting outside in a partly sunny area. I had to laugh today at the seedlings. What I did is took egg cartons and put them in large ziploc bags to give the greehouse effect. I took the collard seedlings out of the bag today and let them sit out. they did not appreciate my generosity at all. 14. Marto 2006, 13:35:01 Temo: Re:seedlings Foxy Lady: I expect pretty soon. I think I'm going out this weekend to cut back the roses etc etc. Do ya'll think I should do the coffee ground thing in Dallas (zone 8) or should the soil be ok? When I met Jim 2 years ago, they were blooming like crazy! But I didn't notice a lot last year. I think I'm also going to take a small plot and plant some veggies. A thunderstorm came through and dropped a tree right on them. But I won't moan and complain, cause 6 inches more, and the tree would have been in the house!!!! 2.
