Andersp: Nope, more like "Fencer has checked and there is no site problem - not everyone is having these problems - therefore its logical that its network rather than site problems." Hows that? You know Fencer goes above and beyond to sort out problems when he can. But in this case, he can't.
harley: But if every site but BK are working fine using all possible browsers. Why cant we then tell Fencer? If he isnt aware of his problems how can he then improve his site? Swiping the problems under the carpet doesnt make him or us happier.
When I have a sluggish network (bandwidth is full on my end). all of the sites I try work, slowly. However, BK doesn't work. I get placeholders for ALL of the images. Luckily, I havent't had that issue for a couple of weeks.
So...True, the network speed is not BK's fault. However, BK handles it poorly. With that in mind, I would rather Fencer's resource be put into finishing or creating new games as opposed to the difficult, time consuming task of trouble shooting bandwidth problems.
Summertop: Webtv has zero to do with computers and today has been mega sluggish. Every other site I tried is quick but I don't think it's Fencers problem or there is anything he can do about it.
Radiant 36 9: Happens now and then that everything is slow here because of the provider or that 3 people are downloading at the same time ;) but yesterday evening (wed) ET all sites (those i checked) worked as usual, only BK was slow. I doubt that my provider has anything against BK :)
Radiant 36 9: In a fellowship, you do not actually "hide" someone from everyone else - all you are doing is hiding them from yourself in that fellowship - everyone else can still see it.
So if I put an english title in the English box, and a Czech title in the Czech box anyone who only reads Czech will see the Czech title and visa versa?
Sorry, I am still confused over this whole issue :)
Chuck: Yes, that's exactly the way it is. If I don't speak English and put only a Czech title in the Czech box and leave the English empty, everybody, no matter whether using English or Czech version of BK, will see what's written in the Czech box. And vice versa. If I fill in both boxes, users using English BK version will see what's in the English box and people using Czech version will see what's written in the Czech box.
there have been some pawns abusing the board, when they were banned from posting they made new ID's and kept posting, the only solution was to temperorily ban all pawns
I know that this came up earlier, how can you tell if you are on someone's enemy list? I see a little green dot next to players names that they are on-line. Would there be another dot next or below it? Thanks
i think the only way is if you look on there profile , at the top next to there name there should be a link which says send message , if thats not there then you are on enemies . even if you are on someones enemie list you can still see the green dot on your player list ..but you wont see them on who is on line list
No dots for enemies, MagicDragon. If you go to their profile, you won't see the usual "send message" next to their name. And it won't have their last action either. Thats how you know you're on their enemy list.
