I generally open in new window now. But Most of the time till recently Ive just clicked links...then used back button. It always seemed to work the way that Bernice would like it to for me :oD But not done recently..so dont know if it doesnt work now
Thad: Thank you and Harley as well....HTML i am familiar with but PC short cuts i have never been interested in before...thanks...Im sorry Fencer if i have caused you stress in your terribly busy life:( this is one thing fixed...for me at least :)
BerniceC: Sorry, let me try to explain what I meant before a little better...
When you click on a link from a discussion board, hold down the option key (or whatever the proper key is), so that the link you've just clicked on opens in a new window (like having the target="_blank" tag, even when there isn't one). Won't that solve the problem you have?
Thad: the pages open in the same place because most people do not know about the target="_blank"> html option....
Stevies link all open in place of the BK page...and so do most other links posted by MEMBERS...therefore...ggggrgrrrrrrrrr.... you HAVE to use the back button.
How often do I have to say the same thing over and over.....isnt my english any good....Can some one with a knowledge of HTML please enlighten someone on here....It might even be me...I can send you to my graphics site and you can stay there forever while you surf the different categories with out using the back button.....THIS is what im talking about....:(
BerniceC: Option-click on links like that so that your window with the DB discussion on it stays intact. Then you don't need to go back, just close the other window when you're done and you'll be right where you left off.
Fencer: You misunderstand what I'm saying....
example....
Stevie directs me to his scooby site...I go look...no probs.....In the past when I hit the back button to come back to BK it came back to Stevie's posted link....now it doesnt it comes back to the top of the current page for that DB or F/s...which mean i have to scroll down to find the link again.....all the RED NEW have gone so I cant use that to navigate either, and if there has been a couple hundred posts it makes it even harder....I hope Im not confusing thing :(
why is it when i hit the back button, i then have to hit refresh to go back a page?
Also if someone puts a live link on a DB or in a fellowship, you click on it and in the past when you have hit theback button to return it has taken you back to exactly where you clicked on the live link...not anymore..it takes you to the top of the page....so you have to scroll down and find where the link is to continue reading the board! ummm is that clear? :)
Thad: it would be helpful to have a separate bit on that for discussion/chat etc to keep the story lines going more fluently ~ you are right there!
Any chance of that please Fencer?
not yet ... but i never thought it slow .. except maybe the emoticon java popup .. which seems a bit faster now .. but that could also be my network/configuration/..
will have to try it when i am at home :)
(i did notice a downtime around 10:30 this morning though .. which might be the time at which i had a downtime on other days as well ?)
Here you'll find tournaments. Most o fthe ones in bold writing are prize tournaments of some dscription. It should say what the prize is if you click on the tournament name. Good luck! :o)
